5th Floor Common Room - Starting at 11am FHT Sunday

Peter had his St. George's cross flag close by as he waited impatiently for the match to begin.  England vs. Ecuador with continued participation in the World Cup at stake.

He had run down to J, GOB ostensibly to get some pastries to share for breakfast but really because he couldn't sit still any longer so there was a selection of muffins and doughnuts on one of the tables.

Now for the football to start...

"If you weren't I'd be worried," Conner told him. "I mean, hey, Nadia got to run around all crazy last night. It should be your turn."

Conner considered this for a moment. "Well, okay, it doesn't have to be running around shirtless and yelling."

"On the other hand, given the girls around here, they might appreciate a shirtless band of England fans," Peter replied. He watched Beckham's free kick AND GOAL!

"GOAL BECKHAM! Did you see that?" Peter bounced up and down.

Conner was up out of his seat and just about doing backflips over the goal.

"1-nothing England! Come on, guys, hold 'em the rest of the way!" he exulted. "Couple more goals wouldn't hurt either!"

"Just another 20 minutes, England. Come on, Rooney! Come on Robinson!" Peter waved his flag. "Oh, they need to hold on!"

"Come on, come on," Conner muttered, both hands balled up into fists and pressed against his mouth. "No no no no -- oh, that was a close one!"

Peter winced as Robinson got a yellow card then went down for a bit. "That's going to hurt if he goes off with an injury." He bit his lip in nervousness.
