Peter had his St. George's cross flag close by as he waited impatiently for the match to begin.  England vs. Ecuador with continued participation in the World Cup at stake.

He had run down to J, GOB ostensibly to get some pastries to share for breakfast but really because he couldn't sit still any longer so there was a selection of muffins and doughnuts on one of the tables.

Now for the football to start...

Peter stuck his tongue out at her. "I'm not falling for that again."

Willow was, of course, very mature. Which is why she absolutely did not try to poke his tongue with her finger, then swipe said finger on Peter's nose.

Peter tried to move back far enough to prevent Willow from succeeding, but he really didn't make it. Thus probably why he tried to grab her hand on the way away from his nose.

Willow gave an indignant "Eep!" and tried to get her hand free.

Or at least made a show of trying. "Give that back!"

"Nope," Peter said, making a show of examining it. "I think I'm keeping it."

Willow mock-pouted. "But it's the only one I have."

Peter raised an eyebrow at her. "And here I thought these hands came in pairs."

"I only have the one right hand," Willow pointed out, not unreasonably. "The other one's shaped differently."

Peter kept playing with her fingers. "If you must, I suppose, you must."

Willow was smiling now. "Well okay, but now you'll have to follow me everywhere."

"I think that's something I could handle," Peter said.

"This is going to make that sparring match with Joxer very interesting," Willow said. "Lucky for you I'm so good with a sword."

"I'd say lucky me for other reasons, but that one works," Peter said. "Though I doubt Joxer would mind sparring with you instead. You are the next greatest swordswoman in the world, and he is apparently the Mighty."

"He's the son of a warlord," Willow said, not fighting the capture of her hand anymore. "Which is apparently why Parker beat him up. Which I think was a little rude of her."

"I was in the gym during that," Peter said, holding her hand lightly and tracing patterns on it with his other fingers. "He challenged her to a sparring match as I remember. And then basically insulted her until she lost her temper. It wasn't entirely well-done of her, but I also can't blame only her. I can see how he could be rather infuriating."

"Oh," Willow said, looking more somber. "I didn't know that part. He told me what happened and I trusted him."

Peter shrugged. "It happens sometimes. People take sparring more seriously than it ought to be. Fighters are unbalanced already or put too much stock in their matches."

"Okay," Willow said, trying to relax. "Though now I feel bad I called Parker a bully."

Peter tried not to grin. "You called Parker a bully? How'd she take that?"

"I don't think she liked it," Willow admitted.

"I can imagine," Peter responded. He squeezed her hand. "I shouldn't worry about it if I were you." He made a face then grinned. "Though if you hear that I did the same to Joxer, don't call me a bully at first?"

"I won't," Willow promised. She squeezed his hand in return. "Then again, I know you. I know you'd never hit somebody unless there was good reason."

Peter laughed. "Or he were my little brother. But there's be good reason there too."

Willow grinned. "I'm an only child. I'll have to take your word for it."

"That and if you had a younger sibling, you'd be a big sister. It's a different relationship from what I understand," Peter said with a grin in return.
