Third Floor Common Room - Sunday Morning

After dealing with monsters and ghosts the night before, Sam had almost forgotten about his promise to Dean to help him with brunch in the morning. They'd made a run into town for more eggs, and some bacon, and Dean was busy fixing the real food while Sam made toast. It was a much safer operation that way, really.

[OOC: Open to anyone who wants free food!]

"Improving rapidly," she nodded, "in direct relation to the ratio of breakfast in my stomach. What about you? Anything new and exciting going on?"

"My arm is good as new, I've heard entertaining stories about visitors to the cheerleader slumber party last night, my girlfriend is back in town as of next weekend, and I have food now," Peter said. "This may very well be the best Sunday morning ever."

"Visitors to the cheerleader slumber party?" Dawn asked, not having heard the radio. "And who's your girlfriend? Have I met her? Is she nice, is she cool?"

"Apparently two of the lesser known cheerleaders stopped by with a friend. I guess they all got along very well," Peter said.

"You probably haven't met her. Zero Hopeless-Savage? She left the same day the new students came in."

"Oh, that's nice," Dawn smiled at Peter. "And no, I haven't met her, I don't think. But yay you for having her come back!"

"Thank you," Peter said before trying the eggs. "And the food is good, too. All I need is a sack of money to drop from the sky and I can officially call this the best day ever, bar none."

Peter looked up and waited.

Dawn also looked up at the ceiling. "Maybe we need to be outside?"

"It might have landed on the roof," Peter said. "Which is fine. If this is the best day ever, then it's all downhill from here and I'm only sixteen. I'd rather not reach my peak yet."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's a good point," she said, "but maybe the days would start competing to see who could give you the best day ever, and so by stopping it in its tracks, you're really stopping an upward spiral that could last the rest of your life."

Dawn was impressed and amused by her own lack of logic.

"Trust me, my luck would never allow that," Peter said. "As it is, I'm kind of expecting my room to blow up, or some jerk to walk up and punch me for no reason or something."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"Does that happen a lot? And I could punch you, if it would make you feel better." She offered.

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, no, usually when I get punched it's because I punched the other guy first," Peter said. "Superhero and all. And strangely enough, I think that would make me feel better. Punch away."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Dawn made a fist, making sure her thumb wasn't tucked inside, and threw a punch into Peter's abdomen. "There. How's that? No more impending doom?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter didn't really feel the punch, but put an arm around his stomach for appearances. "I think it's at least a bit less impending now," he said. "So it's an improvement. Thanks."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Glad I could help," Dawn smiled at him.
