Outside of the Stickbug cabin...

The rain had made things quite messy outside of the Stickbug cabin. So muddy Jamie was slipping and sliding all over the place.

At first it was by accident. However judging by the fact that Jamie is now taking a running start and sliding face first over the slick muddy ground wooting in delight.

Tyler saw the mud and started to laugh.

And began tossing fistfuls of mud at everyone in the vicinity.

Jamie? Totally into throwing mud back at Tyler.

"If you really want to have fun? Mudslide. Try to beat ten feet!"

Tyler nodded, took a deep breath, and went for a running start. He went nine and a half feet. "First try," he said, self-critically.

"Let me show you how it's done," Jamie said. He took a big running start and slid head first and definitely cleared ten feet. "Ha! Beat that!"

"You're shorter than me. Short people are more aerodynamic," Tyler completely made up right then.

He went for a diving start, stretched himself out as much as he could, and made it almost an entire quarter of an inch further than Jamie. "Victory is mine."

Jamie threw a clump of mud at Tyler to celebrate his victory.

The mud hit Tyler square in the cheast. He scraped off a handful of it and tossed it back at Jamie.

Jamie let the mud hit him creating a duplicate.

Now there was double the mud coming at Tyler.

Tyler rolled his eyes. "You can do taht, and you can't think of a betetr use for it?" he hollered.

And threw mud at both Jamies in turn.

Peter tried to sneak up behind Tyler to dump a clump of mud on his head.

Course mud squelches so it wasn't exactly sneaky.

It wasn't, but Tyler still doesn't manage to move fast enough to avoid the clump. "Man, it's running into my eyes," he said, not sounding all that put out.

"Wipe it off?" Peter asked, laughing and trying to keep his balance.

"Never would have figured that out. Thanks," Tyler said dryly.

He wiped his hand over his face and flicked the gloppy mud at Peter.

"Just being helpful," Peter said with a grin. Which really meant the flicked mud ended up half in his mouth. "Oh, man."

He bent down, grabbed a handful of mud, and hurled it back at Tyler.

The mud hit Tyler square in the chest, and he started to laugh.

Then he laid down to make a mud angel.

Peter laughed at Tyler and resisted the urge to scoop mud on top of him. Well, mostly.

Tyler let Peter drop the mud on his chest, then sat up and attempted to push Peter into the mud.

Which worked because Peter was still laughing too much at the mudangel. He fell over with a glop. And immediately tried to rub mud into Tyler's hair.

...which also worked, and boy, Tyler's hair was saturated with mud now. "I have never been dirtier," he said, looking blissful.

"Like pigs in a wallow," Peter agreed with a grin. He fell back into the mud and looked up at the cloudy sky. "It works for me."

Tyler nodded. "Me too. Though fighting for the shower is going to suck."

"Could just run down to the beach and go swimming to wash the mud off," Peter suggested. "It's not like it's a cold night."

"You'e a genius," Tyler said solemnly, peeling himself out of the mud. "I think I'll handwavily, as I am tired do that. Want to come with?"

"I try," Peter said, sketching as much of a bow as one could while sitting covered in mud. He started to stand up as well. "Let's handwavily as I am also go."
