Outside of the Stickbug cabin...

The rain had made things quite messy outside of the Stickbug cabin. So muddy Jamie was slipping and sliding all over the place.

At first it was by accident. However judging by the fact that Jamie is now taking a running start and sliding face first over the slick muddy ground wooting in delight.

Oops. Maybe aiming for the feet was a bad idea. "Sorry Park-mghlp" Blair's apology ended in a muffle as the mud caught him in the face.

"Mpljgh sclpt good shot!" He called back, spitting out a lot of mud to do so.

"Thanks!" Parker did a little gleeful victory mud-dance, and almost slipped back into the mess. "Whoa."

Blair stood, sliding a little bit and advanced on her slowly. "You know, Parker...brown is a good color for you."

"No. Noooo. Sandberrrrg...." she started to back away, eyes getting big as she almost lost her footing. "This is designer sportswear! You can't--"

Parker grabbed a handful of mud in self-defense, but was too busy trying to back away to even throw it properly this time.

Blair easily dodged the mud as he pounced at Parker. "Mud hug!"

"AIIIIEEEEE!!!"

Backwards into the mud again, being hugged again, God, what did she ever do to deserve this!? "SANDBERG!" Parker coughed, struggling and snickering, then reached over to dunk him in the mud. "FACIAL!"

Blair cup up spitting mud but it was all worth it. In fact, he could die in the mud right now with a smile on his face because not only had he hugged Parker and made her laugh, he had done it while getting her all muddy. It's like the universe had aligned and Blair was imbued with a giddy mindset, which is probably why he blurted out the first thing on his mind.

"You look really cute with mud all over you."

Parker gave him a hugely wide-eyed look for that. "...thank you?" Usually that sort of thing gets people killed.

Then she started giggling again, and tried to get to her feet using his shoulder. It's really too slippery for that to work, though.

Blair grinned and jumped up, only slipping a little on the mud. He bent over and reached out a hand to help her up. "Can I help you get up?"

"Your giggle is cute too." A statement which was only a bit more absurd that the fact that he was dripping mud from his hair while he bent over her.

"It is not!" Parker protested, horrified. "I'm not--" A snicker, that she tried to choke back, and she let him take her hand for a second. "Not!"

Then she grinned very, very wide. "C'meeeeere, Blair--" And tried to grab his arm and pull him off-balance into the mud.

Blair smiled goofily and when she pulled at him he gladly fell over right on top of her. "Is too cute."

By now Parker is laughing too hard to kill him properly. All she can do is roll him off her and hold her sides while she tries to get her breath back. "HEehehehehehehehhee...."

Blair smiled that weird goofy smile again and inched closer. There's a distinct possibility he has a look of I'm going to try and kiss Parker in his eyes.

Or it could be the mud has gotten into his brain and rendered him insane. It's a toss-up, really.

Coughing, Parker finally stuttered to a stop, and managed to get to her feet. "Ohhhhhhkay. Heh. Hee!" She shook mud off her hands, and grinned at Blair. "Dirty enough for you?"

Blair stopped an few inches from her face, his lips already pursed. "Dirty?" Even under the mud, he blushed. "Not like that! We're engaging in non-dirty dirty!"

Parker cocked and eyebrow, then grinned wickedly. "Are you suuuure?" She put her hands on her hips, giggling again. Because hey, it's Blair. And a day without Blair-torment....

"I wasn't going to kiss you!" Blair responded and then blushed again. He was pretty positive he didn't mean to say that. "And not because you look cute in mud." Or that either.

"Buh?" Parker coughed. "Um. That's... good to know?" she offered. "Since I have a boyfriend, and all." She smiled. "But I would have been really flattered, if you had been."

"Flattered? Really?" Blair squeaked out and he blushed again. "When did you get a boyfriend?"

"Really. Flattered." The happy smile she always gets when she thinks of Jarod is probably pretty visible even through the mud. "Oh, a couple months ago. He works in town, so, you wouldn't have seen him around here."

Blair is happily bouncing at the second mention of flattered. "He makes you happy, doesn't he?"

"He does," Parker admitted, a little embarassed. Then she grinned at the bouncing. "What?"

Blair decided against telling her the true reason for the bouncing and just smiled. "I'm happy for you, Parker."

"Thanks." She grinned, looked down at herself, laugh-groaned, and said, "Okay. Time for certain campers to get hot showers. God."
