Outside of the Stickbug cabin...

The rain had made things quite messy outside of the Stickbug cabin. So muddy Jamie was slipping and sliding all over the place.

At first it was by accident. However judging by the fact that Jamie is now taking a running start and sliding face first over the slick muddy ground wooting in delight.

"EEeeeeEEEEE!"

It doesn't help to be taller and faster if you are absolutely sliding every other second. "No!" Parker picked up a handful in self-defense, and threw it behind her without even looking. "Zerrroooo!"

"Yes!" Zero said, ignoring Parker's latest volley as it missed her by a good three feet. "Parker! It's just a little mud!"

"It's squishy! And cold! And dirrrrty!" Parker really rolled the R on that, and then turned around, standing her ground and slinging mud for all she was worth. "Nooooo!" ~~*pays Anakin (TM)*~~

Zero wiped some mud from her forehead to her sleeve and said, "Oh, come on. Little mud never killed anybody." Then she reached forward to smear mud on Parker's shirt.

Parker stared at it. Then at Zero. Then conversationally said, "War was declared at in Fandom with the smearing of *muuuud*!" And started to stride forward to push Zero into it.

Except her trainers stuck, so she was windmilling her hands, trying not to fall on top of Zero after a second. "Ack!"

Zero attempted to keep Parker from falling over by grabbing her. "Don't fall on me! I'm but wee!" Then, in a less manic tone, "Maybe you should ditch the shoes."

Parker clung to Zero, swaying, then looked at them thoughtfully. "But they might get swiped in this crowd. Hmmm." She made a time-out sign. "To be continued, sans footwear?" She started to wade out, heading for a patch of grass.

"Yeah, sure. Truce," Zero said. She took advantage of Parker's absence to begin packing a mudball.

Parker did notice that, but managed to ditch the shoes and socks, tie the laces together, and then sling them over her arm. "Right. Truce-- over!" She grabbed a handful of mud on 'over' and came up pitching.

Zero deflected with one arm and pitched with the other. "EEEK!"

"AGH!" Direct hit!

Another mudball goes for the pink ponytail! "YAAAH!"

The pink ponytail? Now more of a brown drippy ponytail. "You realize, of course, this means war!" On the last word, Zero dove for Parker, muddy hands outstretched.

"Oh, frak--" Even shoeless, Parker can't fend off this.

SPLASH! And Parker lands on her ass. "You're next!" she pointed to Zero, threw one handful of mud, then struggled to her feet, plodding toward Zero as fast as she could. Snickering.

"No!" Zero laughed, scrambling to her feet and running away. She paused to gloat, which might become her downfall. "You can't catch me, nyah nyah nyah!"

A *fling* of mud, and then a little more speed, and Parker is within grabbing distance. "GOTCHA!"

Zero shrieked with laughter as she was grabbed.

Then, out of nowhere, a volley of water balloons came flying toward them. Zero, at least, was captive and unable to dodge.

Parker spun her around-- and into the path of several water balloons-- then flung her as she lost her grip, and tried to fend off several balloons at once. "Ack! The Water Balloon Bandit! Returned!"

"That person is a menace! Now I'm all wet...ter. And...is this food coloring?!"

Parker examined Zero, then said, "Orange is so not your color." She looked down at herself. "And chartreuse is not mine! Curse you, Bandit!" she yelled off into the woods.

"I'll just have to cover the chartreuse up with MUD!"

"EEEeeee!" And another handful lands on Parker's legs. So she kicked some mud at Zero. "Must. Fix. Fashion. Don't!"

Zero's jeans were at that point pretty well caked with mud, so a little more was no big deal. "Parker, you're such a wuss. It's just dirt!" This time? She aimed for the hair.

"AGHHHHH! Nooooo!" Even with her hair in a braid from Pyramid, this was not fun. "Damn!" She threw another two handfuls of mud at Zero's chest. "There!"

"Oh, like I care. Y'know, I think I said it before, mud is good for your skin!" With that, Zero tossed a handful of mud at Parker's face.

Parker manages to bat most of it away, then reached over and wipes her hands off on Zero's shirt. "Woo. Tribal art!"
