Outside of the Stickbug cabin...

The rain had made things quite messy outside of the Stickbug cabin. So muddy Jamie was slipping and sliding all over the place.

At first it was by accident. However judging by the fact that Jamie is now taking a running start and sliding face first over the slick muddy ground wooting in delight.

Peter walked out of the cabin to investigate the noise. Seeing the mud fight going on, Peter decided to stick to the cabin - literally - and watch from the sidelines.

"Hooskspider," Zero called as she caught sight of a certain wall-crawler of her acquaintance. "Come on down, the mud's fine!"

"I'm fine up here for now, really. A clown threw mud at me when I was a child. It was very traumatic," Peter said.

"You didn' seem too traumatised by the clowns!"

"The clowns weren't the traumatizing part," Peter said. "The mud was. Hold up."

Peter saw the Jamie Madrox firing squad (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/703927.html?thread=47380919#t47380919) and backflipped to the roof, slipped, fell off the roof, and ended up in the mud.

"See? Mud is traumatic," he said, pulling himself out.

"No, it's not! It's just dirty." Zero tried to grab Peter for a muddy kiss. "See?"

Peter eventually pulled back from the kiss without falling back into the mud. "You've just replaced the clown memory with something much better," Peter said. "Also, it's weird to kiss someone, have it be called 'dirty' and have it actually mean 'not clean.'"

Zero grinned. "What, in front of all these people? Mr. Parker!" And now that she figured he was good and distracted, it was time to try getting mud in his hair.

Peter was too busy gazing into Zero's eyes like a dork that he didn't see it coming.

"Hey! No fair!" he yelled, ducking down to grab some mud. "No fair being cute and doing that!"

Zero giggled and danced back, surprisingly light on her feet. It helped that she was used to running around in combat boots. "I'll try to be less cute, then!"

Peter flung some mud lightly at her. "You're not trying hard enough!" he called, grabbing more mud and jumping after her to avoid running through the mud.

Zero stuck her tongue out at him. "How's this, then?"

"Still failing," Peter said, moving in to either kiss Zero or smush a handful of mud in her hair. Or, hopefully, both.

"Mm. My bad." Zero ignored the squishy cold stuff on her head in favor of the kiss. And maybe slipping some mud down the back of Peter's shirt.

Peter shuddered as the mud slid down his back. "Cheater," he said when he came up for air.

"Look who's talking," Zero murmured.

"You're right," Peter said. So he reached to pick Zero up and drop her in the mud.

Zero had time to squawk with indignation before she landed on her ass in the mud. "COLD. And no fair using superpowers!" She lunged for Peter's knees.

Peter fell over into the mud and laughed. "Hey, if you can be cute, I can use superpowers. It's fair."

"'M not s'pposed to be cute. 'M s'poseta be edgy. An' cute's not a superpower, anyways."

"You've seen pictures of what I wear in my spare time. Edgy's practically normal with people I know," Peter said, sitting up in the mud. "And have you noticed how many times you've hit me with mud because I was distracted? That's practically mind control."

Jamie considers a method of mud attack for another super powered individual.

He settles for duplicating himself until there is a dozen and letting loose with the glops of mud.

Peter saw this coming and backflipped up to the roof of the cabin...

...where he found no footing due to the rain, slipped, fell off the roof, and into the mud below.
