2nd Floor Common Room [Saturday Afternoon]

After recieving textmessages from Xander updating him on the situation- and the fact that everyone was going to be confined to dorms tonight- Bridge decided to venture out of 121 and up to the second floor common room. He's got the TV on and is sort of half-paying attention to it. Mostly it's just there to drown out the eerie quietness.

Anakin pouted.

Yes.

He gave her a small smile. Want to play *actual* Scrabble?

Can play figurative Scrabble later, maybe she suggested before erasing it. Actual Scrabble sounds fine.

Be right back, Anakin promised, getting up and disappearing from the common room.

He returned with the Scrabble board and his banthabell in case he needed to get everyone's attention.

Anakin gave her an eloquent "Oh, please," look, then set up the board.

Incorrectly, since he'd never actually played before.

Rory rolled her eyes and fixed it.

Anakin bit his lip and looked embarassed.

Rory held up her board, where she had written It's okay with a smiley face.

She handed him the instructions.

Anakin read through the instructions quickly, then reached for the bag of letter tiles.

Bring it on, he wrote, grinning.

Rory doled out the tiles and considered hers before carefully setting out the word "sky," making sure the K was in the middle of the board.

Anakin looked at the tiles in front of him, then added an A and a S to the K on the board.

He wasn't very good at this.

Rory smiled and added an F and an L to his "ask."

Anakin added U, N to Rory's F.

Anakin had gotten some really crappy tiles.

Rory simply added an O to his N.

She frowned at her tiles and willed them to give her something better than that.

Anakin looked entirely too pleased with himself as he added S, T, E to Rory's "no."

He pointed to the double-letter bonus and did a little dance.

Anakin was a bit of a sore winner.

Rory pouted, and then added G, A, N, D, A to Anakin's U.

And then she looked entirely too pleased with herself and did a little dance of her own.

Anakin stuck out his lower lip, then gave a triumphant smile and added I, T, H to Rory's S.

Rory added an A and a T to his H, and wrote I kind of want to know what a Sith hat would look like and held it up.

Anakin smiled. Black and scary, I bet. He frowned at his tiles, then at the board.

Then at the tiles again.

Then at the board.

He finally added an O to Rory's T and shrugged.
