2nd Floor Common Room [Saturday Afternoon]

After recieving textmessages from Xander updating him on the situation- and the fact that everyone was going to be confined to dorms tonight- Bridge decided to venture out of 121 and up to the second floor common room. He's got the TV on and is sort of half-paying attention to it. Mostly it's just there to drown out the eerie quietness.

After reading the sign sending them back to the dorms, John wanders by the second floor common room. Upon seeing life, albeit quiet life, he walks in and waves.

Alanna came into the common room, a frown on her face and a bag slung over her shoulder. A sullen Faithful sat on her other shoulder.

Bridge opens his mouth to say hi, then clamps it shut and rolls his eyes, opting for just a wave instead.

Having been confused and worried all day and at the same time catching snippets of other people's confused and worried thoughts, River was now totally exhausted. She looked for a place to just curl up and shut everything out when she noticed Bridge. At least that meant a clear conversation was possible. Wandering over to him she smiled weakly and put her hand on his arm. Good to see you.

River! Hi! Bridge grins, and slips off a glove so he can "hear" her better. Yay for having someone to talk to. Sort of.

Sam sat down on one of the sofas, arms folded in front of her. She was really not happy to be sitting this one out.

After detention, Sam headed for the dorms, stopping in at the second floor to see if he could find Dean or Dawn.

Veronica showed up toting her laptop, cell phone and a small wooden model ship with a wee!tiny sailor on board who looked mightily confused.

Given that her hands were full, she couldn't exactly wave, but she did nod to the assembled crowd as she found a spot to sit.

John waves at Veronica. And then tries to speak because he's an idiot. Once he realizes said idiocy, he just waves again and smiles.

Aeryn is devoid of most forms of communication, except the very slow kinds. She's getting irritated, but at least she's back in the dorms.

Xander came in shortly after Veronica, after checking the open campgrounds to make sure no one was still wandering around down there, then finding a note from Bridge in 121 that he'd be up here.

He carried both laptop and whiteboard, as well as a few bags of snacks to share, and gave a wave to everyone as he wandered over to join Bridge near the TV.

That's very definitely an expression of relief on Bridge's face as he sees Xander.

Anakin? Was not happy about it.

He gave the group a small wave, then flopped into a chair by the door, senses alert.

If he couldn't go out, no one else was sneaking out either.

As Parker comes in with several huge bags of Chinese food from Ching Tai. Jack was also carrying several bags as well, and they put them down in the middle of the coffee table. Parker held up her whiteboard.

Molly wandered in, waved to the room and sat down on the floor.

Parker waved back, and held up a box of rice, waving it enticingly and raising her eyebrows questioningly.

Zero, clutching her cell phone in one hand and the notebook and pen she usually used for writing songs in the other, joined the very quiet crowd in the common room. It's not your imagination, she does look frantic, and it's not just because 'quiet' is not a natural mode of operation for her.

Aeryn's just jumpy enough that when she sees someone looking frantic, she has to at least make a face to ask if everything's okay.

Chloe had done a sweep of the campsite as well, and after feeling satisfied that everyone was where they were supposed to be, she'd headed back to the dorm herself, and sat down in the common room to watch everyone. Not that she was worried or anything.

Peter came up to the common room when he heard about the notice after detention. He waved and then proceeded to jabber on about something. Silence only seemed to make him try to talk more. And there were hand gestures. It probably made no sense.

Hamlet wandered into the common room, after picking up some supplies at All & Sundries (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/964974.html?thread=39784814#t39784814). The noise of the TV made a nice distraction from the eerie stillness of the school.

Cordelia had been in her room all day, reading and trying to decide what her greatest fear was, for her Constant Vigilance assignment. She had no idea anything was wrong, as she hadn't attempted to speak yet.

She walked into the common room, surprised at the number of people who were gathered there.

"Hey guys!" she mouthed, happy for some social interaction after a day of solitude. "Um," she tried. "What the hell?" She grabbed her throat, panicked.

"I can't speak!" she 'said', starting to freak out.

No one can. he types on his laptop, holding it up so she can see.
