2nd Floor Common Room [Saturday Afternoon]

After recieving textmessages from Xander updating him on the situation- and the fact that everyone was going to be confined to dorms tonight- Bridge decided to venture out of 121 and up to the second floor common room. He's got the TV on and is sort of half-paying attention to it. Mostly it's just there to drown out the eerie quietness.

The whores are armed, the Dean's sign said the Mayor knows about it so troopers will be out, and I'm just about ready to head out, too.

He certainly looked determined to help.

Zero wrote NO in huge letters on her notebook, handed it to Peter, then sat down on the floor, wrapped her arms around his legs, and looked up at him with a mulish expression.

"Zero. Zero! Let go of..." Peter sighed silently. He wrote I have to. There are people out there who might need help!

He wondered how many other superheroes were prevented from fighting the good fight by having their girlfriend clamp down on their legs. Not many, he figured.

Zero shook her head and held on tight. Then, because she couldn't write while holding his legs and she sure wasn't letting go, she mouthed furiously, "I'm not letting you go out there. I will knock you out with a mallet if I have to; don't think I won't!"

"Okay, fine, I won't... Ugh, talking doesn't work," he started. I won't go tonight. I promise.

Zero mouthed, "Okay," and let him go. "Besides, I--" she grabbed for the notebook. I need you here. I'm scared.

Peter knelt down and hugged Zero. He then wrote in the notebook, I'm not going anywhere.

Sometimes you had to put your responsibility to individuals before your other responsibilities. He probably couldn't do much there anyway. Probably.

Zero just sort of held onto Peter for all she was worth for a long moment, then realized she was being a weak little girl and let go.

But she still wasn't letting him go out there tonight. She liked her boyfriend not dead, thank you very much.
