After being instructed to return to the dorms, Marie decided she may as well still cook since she had handwavy bought the food the previous day.

So she set up to start assembling lasagna in the common room. Maybe a home cooked meal would comfort some people.

Walking into a common room full of people without a voice probably wasn't the greatest of ideas, but Alphonse was still thoroughly confused and felt more comfortable in the company of people.

So here he was, and waved as he entered.

Marie waved back and gestured to the food.

Alphonse seemed to brighten up immidiately. 'You made this?' he mouthed.

Marie nodded and gave a shy smile.

Alphonse smiled and bowed his head slightly, 'Thank you. I could really go for something to eat right now."

Nadia nodded. She'd gotten over the urge to rant silently about it all, but, yes. It sucked.

Alphonse opened his mouth, but realized from earlier that holding entire conversations without a voice? Was kinda difficult. 'Do you have any paper?' he asked.

Pippi kind of shrugged.

"In case of emergency. Make noise!"

There was something about it that made Alphonse chuckle. Quietly, at least. He wrote down on his sheet of paper, 'Good idea.'

Alphonse waved back again, since gestures seemed to be the way to go. 'How are you?' he mouthed.

Alphonse took the paper he got from Nadia and wrote on it, 'I'm fine, just kind of annoyed at all this.'

Pip nodded. IT HELPS IF YOU HAVE A NOTEBOOK OR SOMETHING TO WRITE ON. ALTHOUGH IT'S NEVER GOING TO BE A REAL SUBSTITUE FOR TALKING.

Alphonse scribbled on the sheet of paper and held it up, 'Any idea what's caused this?'

After settling down with some of the offered food, Sakurazaki gives Alphonse a little wave and a bright smile.

Another good thing about the situation: not having to worry about talking with your mouth full.

Sakurazaki shrugs her shoulders, shaking her head a little. And blushing, because she actually didn't investigate so much as just wander around and enjoy the silence.
