After being instructed to return to the dorms, Marie decided she may as well still cook since she had handwavy bought the food the previous day.

So she set up to start assembling lasagna in the common room. Maybe a home cooked meal would comfort some people.

Pip walked in with a notebook under his arm. He sniffed the air a little, opened his notebook and wrote something on it before showing it to Marie.

SMELLS GOOD. WHAT'S COOKING?

Marie smiled and nodded at the recipe sitting on the counter. She was wrist deep in mixing cheeses for a second pan at the moment and couldn't stop to write.

Kaylee wandered into the common room, lured by the aroma of lasagna. She grinned at Marie and began writing something in a notebook. Smells good. Need any help?

Joxer attempted to sneak up on Kaylee to hug her from behind.

The fact that the world was very quiet, and he clattered with each step, probably meant he wasn't really sneaky.

Joxer had been sleeping most of the day. Wandering back to the dorms because of the posted sign, he'd been instantly drawn in by the smell. His stomach grumbled, which was nice, as it was the only bit of him that could actually make any sort of noise.

Marie flashed him a smile as she put the second tray of lasagna in the oven and went to wash her hands.

Phoebe smiled at Joxer and added a checkmark next to his name on the list in her mind.

Marie waved back and pointed to the tray of lasagna that was already cooked.

Detention had been silent. And very weird, and Nadia still wasn't entirely sure what was going on.

So when she got to the campsite and saw the signs, she immediately headed for where she hoped there would be people: the fifth floor common room.

She knocked on the door frame to get people's attention and waves.

Sakurazaki returned to the dorms post-haste after the announcement. True, she'd been curious about the danger and really wished she and Yuunagi could help take care of it, but she'd also been trained to always obey instructions for those higher up than her.

But, as she climbed the stairwell, she caught the scent of food coming from the floor above hers. While the famished stage of her flying had passed, she was still pretty hungry.

She pokes her head into the common room to investigate.

Fry came in singing, only no one could hear him. Well, it felt like he was singing and that was enough for him, because now no one would yell at him to be quiet.

Sakurazaki still waves, smiling. She still thinks this silence thing is just great.

Lana had gotten up early and gone off walking in the woods. It wasn't till she'd gotten back to camp and seen the notice that she'd realized something was wrong. It's not as if she'd been trying to talk to herself.

When she got back to the dorms she'd gone looking for people and then followed her nose to the 5th floor common room. It was so weird to see such a big group of people and not have anyone making a sound. She waved as she came in.
