Gym, Saturday night

Even silent, Tyler seemed especially confident as he waited for people to show up in the gym. He was barefoot, and clad in a tank top and sweats.

As people came in, he handed them sheets of paper with "Fight Club Rules" scrawled at the top.

1. What happens here, stays here.
2. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR PARTNER. Match is over when someone signs "stop."
3. Only two to a fight.
4. One fight at a time.
5. No shoes. Padding only if you need it.
6. Fights go on as long as they have to. Someone's bleeding too much or knocked out? Fight's over.
7. Play nice, boys and girls.

[OOC: Here's how this will work. "Listen" to Tyler and mingle in the top thread. When you've paired off, start a new thread for that match. Handwave the "one fight at a time" thing. And please try not to send each other to the infirmary -- they'll be busy enough. Thanks.]

She catches it, and Aeryn manages to keep her balance. She pushes off with her leg, trying to either get a hit in, or some distance.

Callisto grunted soundlessly as Aeryn's leg connected with her belly. She let go of the leg and aimed a punch towards her upper torso.

Aeryn takes the hit, wincing a little, and then attemps a hit into Callisto's ribs.

As the blow connected, Callisto would have yelped if she had her voice, instead she dropped and attempted to sweep Aeryn's feet out from under her.

Aeryn is able to pull one leg up in time, but not the other. She attemps to grab onto Callisto's arm as she starts to fall, because she might as well bring them to the same level.

Callisto landed heavily on the mat, before rolling over and attempting to pin Aeryn.

Aeryn almost lets her get that far, bringing her knee up towards Callisto's stomach.

Callisto siently 'oof'ed and curled up, but not before attempting a headbutt.

Ow, and still wincing, Aeryn sends a wild punch in the area of Callisto's shoulder.

Motherfrakker, Callisto bared her teeth and kicked towards Aeryn's belly.

Aeryn starts to double over, and grabs Callisto by the shoulders to try to flip her. She's not sure that's going to go so well.

As she went over, Callisto grabbed at Aeryn's shoulders, either trying to keep her balance or take her with her.

Aeryn goes over, but finally manages to scramble back to her feet and stand.

Flipping herself upright again, Callisto aimed a kick towards Aeryn's left knee.

It's always the frelling knee. Rather than fall, though, she uses that same leg to kick her hard in the hip. Which is stupid because now it hurts more.

Callisto winced and rubbed at her hip, before aiming an uppercut at Aeryn's jaw.

Aeryn finally figures out that hey, maybe she should block something, and does, using her other fist for a punch to Callisto's ribs.

Oh that was going to sting in the morning. Callisto stumbled backwards.

Aeryn takes a deep breath, testing her knee for a second and putting her guard back up, waiting to see what she would do.

Breathing heavily, Callisto made a 'T' with her hands and raised her eyebrows at Aeryn.

Aeryn nods, dropping her guard finally.

Callisto relaxed her stance, and started rubbing her ribs.

Aeryn puts her weight on one foot, swinging her left knee back and forth. She doesn't get the obsession everyone has with this knee.
