3rd Floor Common Room, Sunday Night

Angela had spent most of the weekend holed up in her room, deliberately working her way through a Francesca Lia Block anthology and emerging only to sip oversweetened coffee and gaze soulfully at fruit salad.

But all good things must come to an end. Which is why she was in the common room, watching an I Love the 90's marathon on VH-1 and hoping someone would tell her she doesn't look that goofy.

Company would be welcome.

"It's not like we pay for AC," Angela shrugged. "But yeah, that makes sense."

She gestured to the TV. "Please tell me I don't look as dumb as the people on that show did."

Peter looked from her to the television and back as he tried to think of an unobtrusive way to answer the question. "Neither do you look dumb nor do you look the the people on the television show."

"Good man," Angela told him. "Sorry. I'm from 1996, so these I love the 90's programs are very strange for me. Kind of canned nostalgia for yesterday."

"That would be ten years ago?" Peter asked. He wasn't exactly sure of the year as it didn't seem to matter much. "I can imagine. I wonder if the fact that it's really so close makes it seem stranger?"

"A little, yeah," Angela said. "Because everything on TV and stuff is just slightly wrong. Though I don't know. It was less weird when I was first adjusting, last fall. And at least I'm not from a world with gods running around, like Joxer over there is."

Peter smiled a bit ruefully. "There is that. Luckily Fandom's odd enough for all of us to have to adjust. And it could be argued that if Joxer's gods sent him here, they're still around somewhere."
