Cally was camped out on the couch, flipping through the channels of the TV until she found something interesting.

Ooooh, Mythbusters marathon.

Cally shrugged. "I guess I'm doing the world a favor in letting boys discover their true sexuality or something."

"As far as desitinies go . . . that one kind of sucks."

Cally shrugged. "Meh," she said. "I'm just gonna do myself a favor and not dwell on it."

"That is quite possibly the Best. Idea. Ever."

Cally raised an eyebrow. "Okay, that was a little surprisingly assertive."

"Sorry, I described everything that way when I was nine. It's kind of a joke."

Cally giggled. "Ohhhh, okay," she said. She pointed at the TV. "They're gonna blow up a cement truck."

"Oooo. Too bad Pip isn't around, he'd probably love to see it."

"I'm sure it'll be on again," Cally said. She patted the spot next to her on the couch. "Sit down and stay a while?"

"Might as well." Nadia flopped down onto the couch.

"Got any plans for the day?" Cally asked, looking strangely hopeful.

"Just my workshop. And the slinkies, but, well, that's done."

Cally nodded. "All I got planned is lunch at the cafeteria," she said. "I'm slumming it with food until I get a job, and all."

Nadia nodded. "I ate there a lot last semester, I think. Never had any problem with it."

"And the ABBA singing incidents haven't happened in a long time," Cally pointed out.

"I heard about that. It was before my time, I think."

Cally nodded. "So, doin' anything after your workshop?"

"Nothing planned . . . why?"

"Dunno, maybe we could do something," Cally said.

"Got anything in mind?"

Cally did. But she knew not to suggest that.

"Feeling teacherly yet?" she asked.

"I dunno. I'm supposed to teach Tyler about how to do disguise stuff at some point."

"And you did say you'd help me with the self defense stuff," Cally said. "Which should be tons easier than teaching disguises, right?"

"Energy-wise? Not quite. But I will. At some point. Maybe when it's not so hot."

"Good point," Cally said. "Didn't even think about the heat." She shrugged. "Can't really think of anything else."
