Sam was feeling blue, so she indulged herself in her almost one hundred percent sure-fire remedy--chocolate espresso brownie ice cream (right out of the pint container) and a series of musicals. First was New York, New York, then An American in Paris, and, finally, Singin' in the Rain. Yes, again.

Gene Kelly was the man, and that's all there was to it. She claimed the big comfy chair and prepared to be cheered up, damn it.

"I only got back on Sunday, and, um, didn't do much at all the rest of the day," said Elizabeth, having the grace to blush slightly. "I didn't even realize that there had been a guy in the air ducts." She paused. "How are you feeling about this, Parker?"
