Second floor common room [Evening]

Anakin had spent most of the day brooding meditating and replaying the trip to Coruscant in his mind.

The thoughts it had led to had been entirely too depressing.

That's why he had migrated up to the second floor common room and commandeered the television set.

Not that the last Space Battles prequel was any less depressing, but he could keep himself entertained by mocking the terrible technology and equally terrible dialogue.

"It wasn't exactly a look that suited you," Tyler said, and rubbed his eyes. "Hey, I was kind of thinking about the basketball team. Next week is the last game, tomorrow's the last practice. Should we do something for the people who actually kept showing up?"

"We should indeed," Peter agreed. "Were you thinking of anything in particular?"

Tyler looked down, and then started laughing. "Not exactly," he said. "Was wondering if you might have an idea. I could give a motivational speech, but I think Coach Bluth has that covered."

"Somehow I don't think anything we attempt could quite live up to the...strangeness of Coach Bluth's speeches. We probably shouldn't try." Peter considered for a second. "We've another week to practice, I think, don't we? THe game's the first of September?"

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-08-20 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
"Probably not," Tyler agreed. "And I think the cheerleaders would hit us if we said the stuff he says, anyhow."

He thought. "Yeah, you're right. I keep forgetting how much is left of summer. So we have a week to think about it."

"We're not dumb enough to say what he says." Peter smiled. "I definitely think we should next week though. Want to bet on how many people come out of the woodwork if it involves food of any type?"

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-08-20 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
"You would not lose that bet," Tyler said. "Give them pizza and I bet we'd see people who never show."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-08-20 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
"We'd get people who swore they'd been on the team the whole time too," Peter agreed. "We could do something one evening for the team - go bowling or to Caritas maybe."

"It would be like a Stickbug reunion with a few more people," Tyler said. "Maybe we should save that for the night of the last game, or the next day. Get a little wild after the end of the season."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-08-20 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Exactly," Peter said though his mun woe'd because she'll be out of town. "We should celebrate the first successful season of Fandom basketball. Even if we only played with ourselves."

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-08-20 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Absolutely," Tyler agreed. "We can talk to people at practice tomorrow, see what their preferences are. All of that."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-08-20 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Brilliant plan." Peter nodded. "And we'll think of something for next practice."

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-08-20 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Perfect," Tyler nodded, turning back to the movie.
