Second floor common room [Evening]

Anakin had spent most of the day brooding meditating and replaying the trip to Coruscant in his mind.

The thoughts it had led to had been entirely too depressing.

That's why he had migrated up to the second floor common room and commandeered the television set.

Not that the last Space Battles prequel was any less depressing, but he could keep himself entertained by mocking the terrible technology and equally terrible dialogue.

"...that I would pay good credits to watch. Maybe shot out into space?"

"Now there's an interesting idea. Perhaps they could board a spacecraft, which would require them being shot out into space in order to save the passengers."

"Snakes on a shuttlecraft?" Anakin snickered. "Someone did that to one of the Jedi Master's transports. He didn't take it well."

Hamlet snickered at the very idea. "Oh? And how did he react at discovering snakes on his shuttlecraft?"

"I've only heard this from others, mind," Anakin said, "but apparently he demanded to know who put, quote, 'these motherfucking snakes on my motherfucking shuttlecraft.'" He grinned. "I was very, very glad to be in a different galaxy."

Hamlet grinned back at that comment. "Yes, I can imagine that one would want to be nowhere near him while he was dealing with those snakes."

"He's not exactly in the running for Happiest Jedi Ever on the best of occasions," Anakin said. "So, no, that was not a good day to be a Padawan."

"Does he usually have a short temper, or is it only when dealing with reptile invasions of transport vehicles? Should Padawan's usually be afraid"

"He just doesn't have a lot of patience for stupidity," Anakin said. "And there's a lot of it to be found in Padawans."
