Second floor common room [Evening]

Anakin had spent most of the day brooding meditating and replaying the trip to Coruscant in his mind.

The thoughts it had led to had been entirely too depressing.

That's why he had migrated up to the second floor common room and commandeered the television set.

Not that the last Space Battles prequel was any less depressing, but he could keep himself entertained by mocking the terrible technology and equally terrible dialogue.

"No one is above the laws of physics," Sam said, scowling as she threw an M&M at the television. "And why can't I stop watching?"

"Because it's pretty?" He grinned again, tossing up an M&M to catch in his mouth neatly.

"Maybe there's mind control," Sam said after a minute. "Like a subliminal message hidden in the bad dialogue of the movie."

"'Watch our crappy movies, buy the t-shirts and cereal, also ignore that we will make things up as we feel like it'?" He cocked an eyebrow.

"It totally could," he agreed. "How else do things like this get to be so popular?"

"I don't think that's a very effective ad campaign," Alec said dubiously.
