Second floor common room [Evening]

Anakin had spent most of the day brooding meditating and replaying the trip to Coruscant in his mind.

The thoughts it had led to had been entirely too depressing.

That's why he had migrated up to the second floor common room and commandeered the television set.

Not that the last Space Battles prequel was any less depressing, but he could keep himself entertained by mocking the terrible technology and equally terrible dialogue.

"Why were your shoes all wet?" And she grimaced, knowing that feeling well. "Or why didn't you wear a different pair?"

"The other pair are dress shoes and pinch my feet. My regular shoes got soaked in the water balloon fight," Jamie explained. "Plus there were snakes in them at one point."

"Water balloons and snakes?" Sam blinked at him. "What happened?"

"There was a giant water balloon fight and then all of a sudden there were snakes everywhere," Jamie said with a shrug. "Not as bad as Jello dragons, but still... snakes."

Sam shuddered. "Regular snakes, right? Nothing parasitic and alien looking?"

"Yeah, just normal snakes," Jamie said giving Sam a curious look. "Are alien snakes a problem around here?"

"Uhhhhh, once or twice," she admitted. "And where'd the regular snakes come from?"

"I think they came from a plane," Jamie replied. "Which is just 'effed up in my opinion. So what do the alien snakes look like? Or is this just a prank like those gremlin things?"

"Somebody airlifted in snakes?" Sam asked, very confused. "And they're generally long, kind of bluish pink, and have very long teeth. Um, who told you the gremlins were a prank?"

"Pfft. Gremlins? Please I haven't seen a single one since I've been here. I know a prank when I hear one," Jamie said rolling his eyes.

"No, the gremlins are real," Sam argued. "They infested the place last fall. We played gremlin baseball and everything."

"Suuuuuuuuuuure," Jamie said nodding his head slowly. "Whatever you say Carter. I'm on to you guys."

"Pleeeeease," Jamie said shaking his head. "It's so obvious."

"What is?" Sam wondered if she and Jamie were having the same conversation.

"This conspiracy you guys have going," Jamie replied. "I would think you guys would come up with something better than that."

"Conspiracy?" Sam repeated, frustrated, "there's no conspiracy, Jamie. Not about the gremlins. They were real, they are real, but they're not here anymore."

"That's pretty convenient," Jamie said shaking his head. "Just like the wee-tiny bunnies I was warned about."

Sam stared at him. "The wee-tiny bunnies were real, too!"

Jamie just shook his head. "Riiiiiiight. Sure they were Carter. I'll believe when I see it."

Jamie then stretched and yawned. "All right then. I was much more tired than I thought I was. I'm headed off to bed. Night!"
