4th Floor Common Room, Monday Morning

Blair was too excited about new students, being a big brother and the fact that he was a virgin again to get a lot of sleep so he had been sitting in front of the tv in his room for several hours. There were lots of infomercials on late at night. As it got closer to morning, Blair was afraid of disturbing Broots and his fish with noise if he turned the tv up louder so he headed out to the common room to watch CNN.

Ooh! One last airing of the Pasta Express infomercial. It was no George Foreman 13 in 1 Rotisserie Bonanza, but Blair admired the simplicity of it's design. Like the fact that it was just a plastic tube with a lid.

"Mornin' Joxer." Blair grinned.

Joxer snapped out of boisterous mode in a second. "Oh, hi Blair," he said. "Have you met my new roommate?" He seemed a little nervous.

"Agnes? Sure did. Sweet girl but be careful with her. She's from a different planet and everything is new to her." Blair nodded.

"I don't think she's real happy about rooming with me," Joxer said. "Don't blame her, really."

"It's probably just one of those 'eek it's a boy' things." Blair smiled. "I wouldn't take it personally. My little sibling was shocked that boys and girls were sleeping in the same room."

"You have a sibling?" Joxer scratched his head.

"Big brother/sister program at the school. A student that's been here for a while mentors a student who just arrived." Blair bounced. "Very cool. My little sis is Evie and she's from about 100 years ago. She has lots to catch up on."

"She has a lot to catch up on?" Joxer scoffed a little.

Blair reached over and patted Joxer's shoulder. "But you're Joxer the Mighty."

"Yeah, I am," Joxer said. "There's nothing I can't handle, you're right." He gave a decisive nod, drew himself up... then slouched again. "Except Agnes."

"Why can't you handle Agnes, man?" Blair looked around and leaned closer. "Is she being mean to you?"

Joxer shook his head. "She just doesn't like rooming with a guy, that's all. Don't blame her."

"Well that's not such a hard problem to overcome, man." Blair grinned.

"It isn't?" Joxer asked.

"Sure, just do whatever you can to make her more comfortable." Blair nodded. "Think about her needs and try and meet them."

"What if her needs are me not living with her?" Joxer said. "I don't know if I can fix that."

"Maybe you can't move out...but you could be less guylike. That might make her feel more comfortable with sharing." Blair shrugged.

"Less... guy-like?" Joxer raised an eyebrow. "Like, start wearing a dress or something?"

"You can hash out the details." Blair smiled. "But maybe someone less masculine would make Agnes feel more comfortable."
