Fifth Floor Common Room, Thursday Evening

Bel was busy setting up the fifth floor common room. He pushed the couches and chairs to the walls to clear the center of the room, then arranged some pallets he'd found and shimmered upstairs to create a makeshift runway. He lined the edges with white christmas tree lights. Music, big flashlight to serve as a spotlight, yeah, he was set.

There was nothing like watching someone else humiliate themselves when you've suffered it the night before.

Togusa hugged her back. "Glad to see you again!" He said happily. "How have you been doing?"

"I'm very well." she said not quite answering the question she'd been asked. "How are you?"

"Pretty good. Just getting used to this..." He waved at the stage. "The whole place in general." He gave her a quick glance. "Just well? I haven't seen you since last winter. You have to have some stories to tell."

"Yeah." she said looking down and skuffing the floor with her foot. Then she looked up and grinned at him. "For instance, I'm going on a date with your roommate tomorrow."

"Really? That's great!" Togusa grinned back from his seat. "First date, or have you been seeing each other for a while?"

"We had a first date a little while ago." Pippi said. "It was exciting."

"I'm happy to hear that. I hope you two have a great time." Togusa paused. "Now, for this fashion show..." He grinned.

"We had one a few weeks ago." Pippi explained. "Apparently Anders signed Bel up for it without his knowledge and Bel didn't like the outfit Rory made him wear... I think he looked great."

"What did Bel have to wear? Obviously HE didn't like it." He gestured to the stage. "Otherwise, why else would he be plotting revenge on such a scale?"

"I think it was more the makeup then the outfit."

Togusa laughed. "Then this is going to be very interesting."

Pippi giggled.

"No doubt."

"So, while we're waiting...do you know anything that will calm down that schizophrenic cat of Bernadettes?"

"Um... I dunno. she seems to like me..." Pippi said. "But then I think she wants Pip and I to bread a race of super fighting humans I've feed her on several occasions."

"Just feed it?" There was on option besides tranqulizers and/or locking the cat away. "What does it prefer?"

"It's a cat." Pippi said. "Try fish."

"It's worth a shot." Togusa replied. "I just never dealt with a "Natural" cat."

"What do you mean?"

"'Natural', or live animals are too hard to maintain. They require maintence that most people can't afford, so they opt for the cybernetic versions." Togusa explained.

"Really?" Pippi said. "That's strange."

Togusa shrugged. "That's just how it is. It's too crowded where I live to really have those things around. I've seen some people with dogs, but they get ribbed a lot."

"Why is that?"

Togusa shrugged. "Because people think that live animals are a novelty to the errentric. Cybernetic animals are already trained, have perfect metabolisms, and they don't suffer from diseases like live animals do. It's purely based on the individuals opinion, of course. I wouldn't mind having a live pet one day."

"Well you kinda got one now by association."

"This is very true," Togusa agreed. "But I would rather see one with a more decent temperment. The thing nearly took out my throat when I first arrived." He leaned back and watched the show. "Fish. Any particular type?"
