Fourth Floor Common Room: Thursday Night

After coming back from Pizza Planet, Blair took a seat on the floor in the common room and started copying his notes for Marie. He was humming a song quietly and munching on a slice of pizza.

"Isn't it?" Evie beamed at him. "Of course, I'm finding computers and stereos and television all equally thrilling. I suppose you find it all old hat, though, don't you?"

"Really! Are you from the past too? I was born in 1900. That makes me one hundred and six in December." She giggled. "Not that it counts, really. But I'm finding everything so fascinating! Although," she coughed a bit, and said very carefully, "Some of the manners are a bit... odd."

"So you're from... 1988? Or 1989? Seventeen years in the past. Amazing. And yes, really, 1900. Did you have any warning about this when you came here, or were you as shocked as I, when you found out the date? Because it's the sort of thing that tends to make one feel rather kidnapped, isn't it?"

"Oh, gosh. Not even close then, is it?" Evie shook her head, and confided, "I didn't have any idea it would be co-educational. I'm just glad I didn't end up with a *boy* for a roommate." Remembering her conversation with Dean, she spluttered, "Not that you're not nice! I like boys! Very much!"

"No, I get your point." Seely chuckled. "Since I don't think I could with a girl roomie either, I mean how are you supposed to... do guy stuff with a girl there?"

"Exacty," Evie said approvingly. "LIke, like, well. My hair, or..." She turned bright red, since really, she's only thinking of her underwear, but that alone, in conjunction with a boy is... far too much. "Anything!"
