2nd Floor Common Room, Late Afternoon

So the coffee machine hadn't been cleaned out before he'd left and Krycek was definitely of the opinion that it was not his fault.

But if it hadn't been, he'd probably still be back in room 230. Instead he was out in the CR, watching Bitterwoman reruns, and hoping Jake wasn't going to wake up until he smelled coffee. Which, with any luck, would be tomorrow.

After he cleans out the filter.

Having not listened to the radio last night, Hermione isn't sure where everyone seems to have gone. When she wanders downstairs, she says, "Good to see there really are still people around."

Ray hasn't been down on the second floor yet. And, having heard things about the second floor common room, he's expecting some spectacular.

Except it looks the same as everything else. What a let down.

Nonetheless, he ventured inside the common room anyway and nodded at the two people already in there.

"It's a big place," Krycek said, looking up. "Even when it seems empty, there's usually people somewhere." He lifted a hand from the back of the couch in vague greeting. "Alex Krycek. Are you new wave or from over summer?"

"Hermione Granger. I've been here since May," she introduces herself. "You were on the sixth floor the other night, weren't you?"

Krycek nodded to the other new guy. "Hi. I'm Krycek, and you?"

He knew he was going to get sick of this pretty soon, but might as well attempt to get as many over with as he could.

There's someone else Hermione hasn't met. She wonders if she'll ever meet everyone, not that it's bad if she doesn't. "Hello," she greets the newcomer.

Cally was also in complete ignorance of where half the dorms seem to have disappeared off to, so she'd taken to wandering. Her wanderings, of course, led her down to her old common room.

"Hey folks," she said, waving as she came in.

"When the girl fell through the door," he said, nodding. "Not the weirdest thing that's happened up there, but probably the most bloody."

"Ray," he said. "Krycek your first name?"

"Hello," Ray mimicked. "Welcome to the second floor common room."

"Hey Cally," Krycek greeted in return.

"I haven't seen her since. I hope everything's all right," she says, and shakes her head. "You've been on that floor often?"

Hermione frowns. "I was here before you."

"No," he replied, smirking slightly. "Just what I prefer."

Cally smiled at Krycek as she plopped down on a couch. "You gettin' settled back in okay?"

"Once before," Krycek said, thinking back. "But none of the other times I heard of got anywhere beyond weird."

Parker was coming back in after having talked to Nadia, looking vaguely disturbed, but she grinned when she saw one of the people in the room. "Krycek. I heard you were back."

Luke wandered into the second floor common room. Oooh. More new people to meet. "Hello!"

Sam wandered into the common room and recognized...almost no one. "Uh, hi." She double-checked the furniture to make sure she was on the right floor. Yep.

"Whoa, hi new guy," Cally waved. "I'm Cally."

"What? No one else gets a greeting?" Ray asked with flip of his wrist.

Parker looked at him askance, and gave him a mild, "Hello?" Wayyy too many new people this week.

Parker raised an eyebrow at him, and dryly said, "Greeetings. Welcome to the planet, continent, state, and island. Keep your hands inside the ride, it's going to be a bumpy night."
