4th Floor Common Room, After Classes

It's been a while since Isabel felt like cooking for the masses, but the first day of school seems like reason enough. After Interstellar Relations, she made a quick handwaved trip to town to pick up supplies. Now the music is playing and she's making chicken parm and pasta for whoever wants it.

Luke nodded. "I've heard about snow and a play thing and something about crossdressing--" that one was bizarre and his tone indicated such. "Do you have something you want to tell me?"

"I do," she smiled. "He was good friend when I needed one." Isabel held out her hand and floated the jar of parmesan cheese over. "He was also helping me figure out how to use my powers which included a hands free pillow fight. He said it was how the younglings in training to be Jedi would practice their powers."

Luke's eyes went very round. "Can you teach me?" he asked. "My teacher," he swallowed hard," was killed a few days ago."

"I'm so sorry," Isabel said quietly. "And now you've come here and had to deal with all of us and our reactions." She passed the plate she'd be preparing over to Luke. "Was your teacher teaching you how to use the Force?"

"He got as far as 'reach out with your feelings' and 'don't point the lightsaber at me' before Vader killed him," Luke said bitterly.

"I can't make any promises," she said. "Because I don't use the Force to do what I do. But I'm willing to try if you are." Suddenly the name Luke had said connected a few dots in Isabel's brain. "Vader? The ethics teacher?" Without waiting for an answer she rested her arms on the counter and rested her face in her hands. "This place is fucking nuts some times."

"It's the least I can do," Isabel said. "I'm in a room 406 down the hall. Stop by one day and we can start." She looked at Luke and smirked a bit. "The smartest thing? That this place is nuts? You don't know the half of it."

"There were zombies, vampires, snow monsters, wee tiny bunnies and jello dragons," Isabel listed, shaking her head at the absurdity of it. "Expect the unexpected, keep an open mind and you'll do fine."
