It's been a while since Isabel felt like cooking for the masses, but the first day of school seems like reason enough. After Interstellar Relations, she made a quick handwaved trip to town to pick up supplies. Now the music is playing and she's making chicken parm and pasta for whoever wants it.

"Very well, Cedric," Willow said. "And you?"

"Fine, thank you," he said with a nod. "Did the first day of classes treat you kindly?"

"Very kindly," Willow said. "I'm the Bio TA now!"

"Are you?" Cedric smiled at her. "Does that mean I should call you Miss Rosenberg now?"

"That all depends on if you're taking Bio," Willow replied with a grin.

"I don't believe I am this time," he said sadly. "So, I suppose I shall keep calling you Willow."

"And I shall keep replying with, 'Hi, Cedric!'," Willow said, "and not nagging you about where your Bio homework is."

"Rest assured, I would always do my biology homework if I were in the class," he said. "I would not want to incur your wrath."

"My wrath is when the red pen comes out," Willow said. "You don't want to be on the pointy end of that."

"Would you draw on me with your red pen?" Cedric teased lightly.

"If I had to," Willow said, teasing back. "When marking papers isn't enough I take desparate measures."

"If that's the case, I would like to request a sailboat above my left eye."

Willow giggled. "Why a red sailboat?"

"Why not?" Cedric said. "Perhaps I could even dub myself Captain Cedric for a day."

"Would you have a jaunty sailor hat?" Willow asked.

"I've never had a jaunty sailor hat before," Cedric replied. "Is my head the right shape?"

Willow pretended to study him critically. "Well, bearing in mind that I'm no haberdasher, I would say that you do. Your head seems well-proportioned."

"Very good," Cedric said and patted his head gently. "I'm getting a haircut sometime this week so I hope that doesn't make much difference."

"Only the one?" Willow teased. "Won't the other hairs get jealous?"

"I'm sure they will but I'm quite partial to that one hair," he said, playing along.

"Why? Did it save your life once?"

"Many times over," he said with a very solemn nod. "It protected me from the fire of a dragon."

"Was it a jello dragon?" Willow asked.

[chasingsnitches.livejournal.com]

"Actually, it was a real dragon," he said. "During the Triwizard Tournament, one of the tasks was to retrieve a golden egg from a dragon."

"Why did the dragon steal a golden egg?" Willow asked, curious.
