Thanks to a laundry...incident, Dawn was wearing the t-shirt she'd borrowed from Dean after the Meerkat cabin theft, which was way too long for her, and the skirt she'd stolen borrowed from Buffy before she left Cleveland, which was way too short. Not unlike Buffy, come to think of it.

Just so people would think it was intentional, though, she put up a small sign, hastily written on notebook paper and stuck to the door of the common room.

In other news, she was trying to learn her domesticated canine vocabulary for class on Monday.

"Personally I preferred shirtless day," Isabel replied. "But that's just me. It was just so pretty though."

Hermione's jaw drops just a little. "There was a Shirtless Day?"

Isabel nodded, her eyes glazing a bit as she remembered the pretty. "In May, right after the new people got here. Mostly it was for the guys. That's what I mean by so pretty. Because we have a lot of very pretty guys around this place."

Oh, now she remembers because Cedric teased her about it... "They're all right," Hermione says. She may be downplaying it a tiny bit.

Looking around the room, Isabel shook her head. "That's a huge understatement if I ever heard one."

"They aren't bad-looking, but I'm not drooling at anyone's feet," amends Hermione. "Not that I would..."

"I don't drool. I merely admire," she said primly. "So there's no one here in Fandom that's caught your interest?"

"I haven't really thought about it," she says, which is mostly true. "I've had a lot of other things to worry about."

"You're not supposed to worry during the summer," Isabel pointed out. "Which yes, I know, is easier said then done."

"It was September for me when I got here in May," she says. "I may be an exception to the rule based on a technicality." Granted, she was still worrying over her summer, too.

"No, that happens. There's all sorts of weird time displacements around here." Isabel grinned, "One of my best friends is from the fifty-first century. Not to pry, but is there anything I can help you with?"

"It's a lot of things to do with where I come from," she says. "I'm not sure how much anyone can help without having already been there. Yes, I realize that makes little to no sense."

"Oddly enough I think I understand," she said. "Sometimes having the personal experience helps make things clear. Unfortunately I've never been to England. I missed the Spring Break trip. But I'll get there someday, especially now that I have friends from there."

"Let me guess, Hogwarts students?" Hermione asks. She's getting really used to this part. "Please don't say Draco Malfoy."

"Yes, but not Draco, Cedric," Isabel said fondly. "He's dating a good friend of mine, so I've gotten to know him well. I even dragged him for a haircut the other day."

Hermione's heard the radio, she doesn't need to ask who. Which is probably a good thing, as that could be a little awkward. "The last time I saw him, I don't even think he needed one," she says.

"He was starting to look like a sheepdog, with his eyes hidden beneath all that hair," she explained. "Now he's back to being stylishly shaggy. And for what it's worth, he told me some of what's happening over. I can understand why you'd be worried."

"Oh," she says, though she shouldn't be surprised that Cedric said anything. "It's actually gotten worse since then. But there are good people handling things on one end, so that should make a difference."
