Third Floor Common Room [Saturday Evening]

Having nothing better to do, Carmela was sprawled on a couch in the common room, channel surfing. Not so unusual.

What *was* unusual was the *way* she was doing it. The remote sat off to the side, untouched, and the TV was apparently changing channels on its own, every time Carmela said "No."

[ooc: a note about the Speech. It's in italics, and since it's the language of *everything*, your character will most likely hear whatever's being said as in their native language. If they listen especially carefully or have an ear for languages, they might be able to tell there's something unusual about it, though.]

"I was talkiong to Bridge Wednesday?," Angela said. "I think we should stage a sit-in and, like, refuse to move afetr graduation. Make them make us super-seniors."

She leaned her head on his shoulder. "I was just telling you for your information."

"That's good information to know," Marty replied slipping his arm around Angela's shoulder. "Did I mention that I missed you and I'm glad you're back?"

"You implied it," Angela said. "But I like to hear it.

She kissed his neck. "So what exciting things did you do while I was gone? Rory already told me about pantsless day."

"Ah. Pantsless day. I did not participate in pantless day as the person I would only be pantless around was elsewhere," Marty commented. "Other than that I just went to class and visited with our principal."

Angela glanced at him. "I told you to stay out of trouble," she said lightly. "Is everything cool with Ms. Washburn?"

"Just wanted to chat with her about that one teacher we talked about the other night," Marty replied trying to keep his tone light. "Apparently what we heard was only a rumor and that we have nothing to worry about."

"Ohhhhh," Angela said in relief. "I tought the person who told someone else about it would know, but I guess people get confused?"

"I guess. Washburn gave me her personal assurance that everything was fine and that no students would be in danger because of him," Marty replied. "She seemed pretty earnest about it and I guess after that whole lockdown of the dorms when those smiley guys were around she means business."

"That is reassuring," Angela said. "I'm still glad I'm not in that class."

She reached up to run a hand through his hair. "Hey, do you know what next Saturday is?"

"Yep," Marty said leaning over to give Angela a kiss. "I can't believe it's only been a year."

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing," Angela murmured, trying to breathe him in. "And did you know you smell amazing?"

"Definitely a good thing," Marty practically whispered. "And how exactly do I smell?"

"A very good thing." Angela breathed again, kissing his neck as she did so. "Like ... pine trees," she said. "And musk. And rain."

Marty smiled as he leaned over to kiss Angela on the lips. "I think we've been away from each other too long."

"You think?," Angela asked, amused. "What do you think we should do about that?"

"Never be apart again?" Marty suggested. "Or maybe I can help take your bags back to your room?"

Angela slid her eyes over to the corner where her bag rested.

And gave him a precisse but hingry kiss. "That would be very nice, yes," she said, standing.

Marty stood up quickly and grabbed Angela by one hand and the luggage with the other and began to drag them both out of the room.
