Having nothing better to do, Carmela was sprawled on a couch in the common room, channel surfing. Not so unusual.

What *was* unusual was the *way* she was doing it. The remote sat off to the side, untouched, and the TV was apparently changing channels on its own, every time Carmela said "No."

[ooc: a note about the Speech. It's in italics, and since it's the language of *everything*, your character will most likely hear whatever's being said as in their native language. If they listen especially carefully or have an ear for languages, they might be able to tell there's something unusual about it, though.]

Angela paused by the common room on her way back from her visit home, and blinked at the TV that seemed to be changing on a voice command.

She was definitely back home.

She set her bag in the corner and went to investigate. "Hey Carmela, are you making the TV do that?"

"Not making, precisely," Carmela shrugs. "But TVs are really very agreeable when they're not being bossed around by the remote. You've just gotta know how to ask."

"Really?," Angela said, curious.

She took a seat next to Carmela. "Um, louder. Please," she told the TV.

Suddenly there is a flying-tackle-hug from the blur of a guy in a suit. "Hi!"

And he gets hugged back, hard. "Hi! I was going to go find you as soon as I was unpacked."

"Okay," Conner says, poking his head in. "You sound like me watching Abaranger."

Angela shot a grin at the new-ish kid. "Conner, right?"

"That's me," he confirmed with a friendly smile as he walked in and plopped down onto a couch. "And you're . . . Angela?"

Carmela laughs and turns to face Conner. "Abaranger? I'm more of an anime girl, but I've caught an episode or two of that. Didn't seem too bad."

"Yeah, if by not too bad you mean totally inaccurate," mutters Conner.

Summer wandered into the common room and waved. "Hi."

Hello, hot new girl. "Hey there," Conner greeted the new girl, a toothy grin nearly splitting his face in half.

Angela blinked, surprised to see the girl she had so briefly lived next to again.

Then she realized it might well not be the same person. "Hi ... this might sound kind of strange, but did you go here last fall?"

Rory came in and observed for a moment, before asking, "Are you doing that on purpose?"

Angela glanced up. "Hey. See, I came back and everything."

"Hey, Rory," Conner said, waving at her from the couch.

After greeting the returning girlfriend, Marty flops down on the couch.

"What's going on everyone?"

"Hey, Marty," Carmela waves. "Nothing good's on TV. That's... about it."

Parker came in later, having finished her reading for Interstellar Relations, and collapsed on the couch. "Hi. Okay, this? Is bringing back weird, weird memories."

"How so?" Angela asked, glancing up from the TV. "And hi."

"The friend who had the telepathy thing with the TV?" Carmela guesses. "This isn't quite the same."

"How are you doing that?" Schrodinger asked. He was perching above Carmela on the couch.

It's likely that no one heard him approach. Or saw him.

Or even saw him there half a second ago.
