"I haven't been looking at the new people that way," Walter said. "But I'll make sure that I do now."

"Good," Cally said. "Cause I obviously suck at trying to hook myself up." She let out a bit of a sigh.

Walter raised a questioning eyebrow. "Is there a story behind that?"

"I wish I myself was aware of when I start getting..." she trailed off, then started again. "Me and drinking plus cute girls don't mix."

"Sunday," Cally said. "Frak, I didn't even know what I was saying, even."

Cally seemed to do a lot of that. "It went poorly, then?"

"Hell, I didn't even know it was going at all," Cally said. "But I guess it's good to know that there was no chance, if I had actually tried, which I didn't think I was going to, but apparently I wanted to."
