Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning

It was cool and rainy, so Dawn was using her Saturday morning to do her homework--she had to read Jane Eyre and learn Dolphin by the beginning of next week. She stretched out facedown on the floor, swinging her feet above her, and humming as she listened to the radio. She nibbled occasionally on some *fingerwiggle* buttery toast as she read.

She was in a really good mood, homework notwithstanding.

Weiss wandered in, maybe a little nervous about his upcoming three hour tour minute dates. He sat on the couch and looked at Dawn. "How's it going? I'm Eric Weiss, by the way."

Dawn looked up from her book and smiled, "Hi, Eric. I'm Dawn--I think we have Prophecy class together. Are you new, or am I just that bad at paying attention?"

"No, you're still a bastion of awareness. I'm a noob," Eric said. "Which means you're probably not."

Dean looked at the kid on the couch. "Don't think we've met. I'm Dean Winchester."

Weiss looked at him. "You sure? Because I'm nearly sure that you're Alec and I have met you."

"Hey! How are you?" Lavender grinned at him.

Dean wandered in, drawn by the sound of the radio as he'd being going past. "Hey. No Buffy puppy this morning?"

"She didn't seem enthusiastic about the idea of watching me do homework," Dawn said, "so she's taking a nap until the weather clears up and we go for a walk. Or she may play with Vladdie, depending."

"Hey. Working on the Cross Species homework?"

Dawn glanced at the packet. "No, I haven't gotten there yet, but hopefully sometime today. What about you?"

Luke walked into the common room, slightly damp from his extended trip outside. "It's rainy!" he announced. "And cold!"

This was a bit of a revelation for a desert kid.

"Uh huh," Dawn nodded. "Need a towel?"

"Yeah that tends to happen in the fall in these parts," Dean told him.

"Morning," Rory greeted the room cheerfully, having decided to seek out company and take her morning coffee upstairs to drink.

"Morning, Rory," Dawn waved her copy of Jane Eyre at her.

Luke waved at her, damp and happy. "Morning!"

Molly was 'looking for a place to study' which really meant that she was walking around with her homework looking for a distraction. Oh! People in a common room. She went in and waved to the room in general. "Hey!"

"Molly!" Dawn got up and ran over to Molly, then whispered, "We kissed. A lot."

Puppy!Buffy was bored with sleeping now, so she went to find Dawn to see if she could be talked into going for a really long walk.

She bounded into the common room and barked happily at everyone. //Hi! Hi! Hi!//

"Awwwwwww, a puppy!" Rory cooed. "Who's this little guy belong to? Did someone get a friend for Vladdie? How did I not know this?"

Dawn whipped around when she heard the barking. "Buffy! Hi!"
