5th floor common room, Saturday evening

After handwavily planning things with the other sophomores, Tyler's put up a bunch of posters and ordered pizzas of all sorts. He's even managed a tie, and he's sitting with his hands in his pockets watching the door.

He's not exactly nervous of anything except no one showing up.

[OOC: Open, especially for sophomores, and this is post-detention. There is OCD for candidate speeches.]

Buffy is here to listen. Even though she's a puppy it's important to keep informed. Also she's hoping someone will feed her pizza.

"Hi, Buffy!" Molly greeted the puppy with a pat to the head as she sat down.

Of course one of the first things Chad would notice, even before the pizza, would be the puppy. One he didn't know yet, even.

Okay, too many people around here had cute pets. Wondering who this one belonged to, Chad gave the puppy a very, very small smile (which was actually pretty big for Chad), a wave, and offered it a slice of pepperoni.

Chad hoped there was lots of this free pizza thing, because he was very hungry. And it took a lot of pizza to take care of Chad-sized hunger.

Molly saw one of the posters and decided to go see who besides Tyler was running. Free pizza was a bonus.

Chad gave Molly a wave when he spotted her. "Hey, Molly, how are you?"

Free food, blahblah, plus, Nadia figured she ought to pay attention to politics, even if it's just school politics. So after her planned "adventure" at Cafe Fina, she hit up the campaign thingie.

Chad gave Nadia a nod in greeting. He would have waved, but he he had a slice of pizza and each hand, which made waving a bit difficult.

Evie was drawn in by the posters. And, well, what's pizza?

She took a slice of pizza, and almost tripped as she headed back to one of the couches to eat it. "Oh, dear."

Chad had a pretty uncontrolable impulse when it came to people tripping and him being there to prevent them from falling, so when Evie almost did it, he found himself at her side, with a hand at her elbow, although she was quite fine. Realizing this quickly, his hand fell away and he straightened, feeling a little awkward about the whole over-reaction.

"Uh, hey, Evie."

After successfully making it out of detention, Layla headed for the common room, happy to see that there was still a little pizza left over.

Evie waved to her Roomie, but didn't say anything, as her mouth was full of pizza.

Chad couldn't help but note yet another redhead. But he realized that he'd lost count of them. He nodded a greeting to the girl he didn't know, raised a hand in a wave-less wave.

Well, that was . . . cheerful. . . .

Nadia applauded politely.

"You know, we never asked for any of this," Pip said. "At least, I didn't. I never asked to govern my fellow students. But the powers that be decided that we should, so we should stand up and do it.

"Now, our class could go down in the history of FH in two ways. Either our report in Principal Washburne's file will read 'Compeltely useless. When given the chance to make decisions for themselves they fell down and slacked off like lazy dogs.'

"Or it could read 'Gave their all. And while they might not have suceeded in all of their initiatives, damned if they never stopped trying.'

Pip stopped to light a cigarette. "Now, I don't know about you, but that second option sounds way better. And I intend to work my ass off getting that recorded in our file. What do you think?"

"I was a Freshman Rep second semesterlast year. It was a lot of fun and I think we did a pretty good job. You should vote for me because... Well... Just because."

Re: Campaign stuff -- Layla

"Where I come from, most everybody fits into two categories - the important people in charge, and those who support the important people in charge," Layla said. "Now, as crucial to the school's survival as the administration is, I think the student council should be both the supporters to the administration and to the students, because frankly, this school wouldn't run without us either."

"I know I haven't been here that long, but I've picked up on the fact that this is a crazy place, and because of that, the students here have some pretty unique needs," she continued. "My goal, if elected, is to make sure that you guys have someone you can come to when you want something done. I have a great deal of experience with going to people more powerful than myself and arguing until I get what's necessary."

"In addition, if elected, I will be doing my best to not only make sure that we have a safe school, but a healthy one as well. This includes getting healthier, recognizable foods into the cafeteria, and trying to start a basic recycling program. And...that's all I've got, unless you have questions. Thank you."

Will this be being held before or after detention gets out?
