Watching Sports Night was fun. Watching Sports Night while playing hacky-sack? Even better.

So Conner was opting for "even better," needless to say. Hey, it made the commercial breaks pass really well.

"Oh, I've seen this before," Walter said, watching Conner's hacking skills. "Just usually outside."

"Dude, the beauty of hacky-sack is its portability," Conner said, not breaking from his current sequence as he glanced over his shoulder at Walter.

"Good for foot-eye coordination, I'd guess." He nodded to himself. "Maybe I'll have to get one."

"It's great practice for that," Conner agreed. He kicked the hacky-sack up into the air and snagged it, then tossed it to Walter. "Want to give it a try?"

After a rather quiet day, Nadia was wandering about.

Last time she saw Conner playing hackysack, she'd had to have cold water dumped on her after a gigglefit.

She'd try not to do the same this time.

That last incident actually occurred to Conner as well, and he missed the next pass as he tried to bounce it off the inside of his knee. "Hey, Nadia!" he said, a bit red-faced as he had to scoop the hacky-sack off the floor and start over.

"How are you?" Nadia wandered in to sit down, watching Conner with a smile.

"In a pretty good groove. Or at least, I was." Conner started up a new routine and tried to make it extra-showy to compensate for his fumble a minute ago. "I love having a three-day weekend. How 'bout you?"

Walter finished up playing with Conner when Nadia came in. "Hey. Pippi's in a mirror."

"Hi. What?"

"Stupid Fandom thing. She fell right into a mirror in her room a little earlier."

"Hola," Carmela says, flopping down on the couch.

"Hey, Carmela!" Conner puts the hacky-sack back in his pocket and flops down on the opposite end of the couch. "No talking to the TV. I like this show."

"Not even if I want it to turn up the volume or something?" Carmela asks.

"Well, okay," Conner concedes. "You can do that."

He scowls at the TV a little. "I wish we had TiVo on these things."

"Hola!" Nadia returned cheerfully. "¿Cómo está?"

"Evening," Peter said, wandering into the Common Room. "Oooh, sports."

"Hey, Peter!" Carmela waves.

"Carmela!" Peter grinned back. "How goes it?"

"I'm going shopping this weekend!" Carmela says, bouncing just a little.

Conner kicked the hacky-sack lightly toward Peter. "Yeah, it's that fake-football stuff."

Peter tried to flip the hacky-sack back to Conner with his foot. It probably went about where he meant it to go. "Silly Yanks. What are they thinking."

Conner stuck a leg out and caught the hacky-sack on his instep, then flipped it back to Peter. "Nice," he said, and meant it; not that any obvious relief in his voice had anything to do with the rather ego-denting session with Walter a little while ago.

"Nadia and I were talking about that, yeah. Carrying the ball is so cheating."
