Walter was intensely bored. So bored that he was sitting in the common room juggling the hackeysacks he'd picked up earlier at All and Sundries and eating popcorn. The television was tuned to the Hitler Future History Channel for yet another documentary on WWII.

He probably won't bite your head off if you want to change channels.

Nadia headed up, still in an argumentative mood after her debate discussion with Blair both during 7th period and at the "Damn the Man club" meeting.

She was also trying to work out the best way to execute her "think" campaign plan. Thus, she was somewhat distracted. "Hey."

"Hey." Walter dropped the sacks one after another and kicked them up onto the coffee table. "Anything new?"

"Blair got attacked by demons and still thinks that you could talk your way out of anything."

"What? Is that why he looked like that outside of Hunting today? Did he try to talk to them?"

Conner came in and flopped exhaustedly on the couch. He was too tired to notice what was on the screen, and kind of too tired to be bored by it anyway.

"Mmmph."

Walter tossed a piece of popcorn at Conner. "Mmmph yourself."

Conner managed to catch the piece of popcorn as it bounced off his nose. "Hi. Tired."

Walter grinned and tossed another. "Why? Has there been something interesting going on that I've missed?"

Marty walks into the room look a little dishevled and flops down on one of the couches. "What's the good word, folks?"

Angela grinned at him. "Bird is the word."

"What kind of bird?" Marty asked. "Chicken? Robin? Nuthatch?"

Angela considered this. "Is a nuthatch even a bird?" she asked.

"'Whiskey' is a good one," Walter suggested, noting Marty's condition.

"Whiskey!" Marty replied perking up. "Do we have any?"

"Not on me, but I could fetch some for the proper incentive," Walter allowed. "What has you in a whiskey mood?"

"Right now?" asked Conner from where he ws still sprawled out on the couch. "I'm going with painkillers."

"What did you do to yourself?" Marty asked.

"Underestimated a ghost," Conner mumbled. "Not doing that again."

Angela followed Marty, sippign from a can of soda. "Hey," she waved as she flopped down into a seat.

"Hey." Walter held up the bowl. "Popcorn?"

"I'll take some, sure," Angela nodded, helping herself to a handful. "THis is really good."

"Maybe because it doesn't come out of the microwave," Walter suggested, taking a handful for himself.

"How are you?"

"You ever notice that there aren't any documentaries from the German point of view?" Schroinger asked from behind Walter.

"That would be because they lost," Walter said, with a slight emphasis on the word "lost."

"So? Wouldn't be interesting to have a movie about the last days of a fallen empire or something?"
