Roof: late, Thursday evening

Parker had a mentally grueling day, and then she exhausted herself at the gym. So she was up on the edge of the roof, smoking her last allowed cigarette of the day, and watching the lemmings jump off the edge.

Gently, gently, like a teeny bizarro-world ballet, they pirouetted off the ledges and balustrades, their little parasols carrying them softly to the ground.

Spin. Leap. Parasol. Wooooosh.

It was actually kind of relaxing.

Peter nodded at Parker as he came up the stairs to the roof and watched the lemmings fall.

Parker waved a cigarette at him, and breathed out a plume of smoke, eyes following the lemming parachuters.

*wooooosh*

That last one really got some altitude....

Seely was a woeful little puppet as he made his way up onto the roof to brood.

Parker opened her eyes at one point, then stared.

Wow. Okay. Who spiked her cigarette with LSD? Wait, Fandom.

She stared a moment longer. "Um...."

"Parker," Seely nodded.

Peter rolled his eyes at Seely. "Still felt, Booth?"

"Want to make something of it, English?"

"...There are lemmings." Bridge says, staring.

"With parasols," Peter pointed out.

"Does that make it more or less weird?"

Parker looked up from the grudge-match of Pevensie vs. Booth, and waved a cigarette to him in welcome. "Is that what they are?" She blew a smoke ring, and chuckled low in her throat. "They're not the best entertainment here."

"Well, they're being all... lemming-y, with the jumping. Stereotypical lemming behaviour, really. I'm not sure actual found-in-nature lemmings really do that."

"Hey," Seely waved, glad that someone hadn't boggled at the puppetness.

"You're still all... puppet-y," Bridge waves a hand vaguely. The fact that Seely was in three out of Bridge's four classes meant he'd already done his share of boggling.

"Hey, Bridge," Z said. "I might have an idea about your badge problem."

"Yeah?" Bridge tilts his head at Z.

"Well, that's something you don't see every day," Z said, staring at the lemmings.

Parker blew smoke at one, watched it spin dizzily then plunge off the edge, its little parasol opening early, and said, "Nope. But they're damn fun, aren't they?" She took another hit off her cigarette. "Hey, Z."

"Yeah. Kind of cute, too," Z observed. "Hey, Parker. I didn't know you smoked."

Door wanders up not exactly searching for her roommate, but not unrelieved to note that he's here, and hasn't, for instance, shrunk even further.

"Hello!" She waves to the group, and grabs a space to sit that's not too near Bel's plants. Not that she's emo or even has more than a vague guess at its meaning from context, but just in case.

"Hi," Z said with a wave.

"Hello?" Parker took a drag off her cigarette, and tilted her head back, exhaling a long drag. "You, I don't know." She studied Door, and smirked a little to herself, then muttered, "Another new girl," under her breath. "Parker."
