Second Floor CR, Friday Evening

For Friday the thirteenth, Zero had decided to have an impromptu scary movie marathon. She set up an array of snacks, including popcorn, pizza, soda, and candy, and stacked her DVD offerings on the coffee table.

"It's one of my mom's favorites. She loves the campy stuff," she replied.

"Then yeah, she would like it," Angela said. "How are she and Bucky, anyhow? I haven't seen him since he was very wee." She frowned. "Which I guess he still is, huh?"

"They're good," Rory said, smiling. "He's still wee, but in a slightly bigger way."

"Good. It'd be weird if he was suddenly eight feet tall or something," Angela decided. "Or if he showed up in the winter enrollment, like some soap opera kid."

Rory stared. "You don't think that'll happen, right?"

"I don't think so?" Angela said. "Sorry. I'm trying to finish my protfolio for UNY and it hasd my brain doing all these, like, loops trying to find plots."

"I'm almost done with Harvard and Yale," Rory said, looking excited and terrified.

"Oooh," Angela said, eyes wide. "And Harvard's your first choice, right?"

"Maybe," Rory said, frowning. "I kind of like Yale a lot, too."

"That'd be closer to home for you," Angela said thoughtfully. "Is that good or bad?"

"Good," Rory said, thoughtfully. "Closer to here, too."

"Though it's still only a short flight to Boston," Angela pointed out. "New York's kind of far from Pittsburgh for me? But not compltely horrible. And my second school is Carnegie Mellon, if I really want to stay close to home."

Rory smiled. "They're both great schools. And I think we should all promise to write and call more than people whose names sound like Fangel and Rogan."

"I will if I can," Angela promised. "I'm still a little scared I'll be like Xander and the time thing will mean it doesn't happen."

"I hope not," Rory frowned. "And worst comes to worst, you probably won't get stuck there, right? You can come back and visit."

"Probably not," Angela said. "And I want to visit. Buy cool stuff from my future. See people, all of that." she ran a hand though her hair. "I just have to worry."

"Don't," Rory said. "And hey, maybe I could go visit the you of the future after I leave here. I mean, maybe it'd be you-you and not the one who was here around Christmas."

"Maybe," Angela agreed. "That actually might be really cool. I think Old Me would miss you guys until you caught up."

"That'd be weird, though - twenty-eight year-old you and little nineteen year-old me," Rory mused.

"Yeah, I'd feel a little creepy, with you all wee," Angela said. "And I'd be dating a 19-year-old, maybe, if stuff goes well, so it'd just seem like I really liked teenagers, or something."

She made a face. "I so don't want anyone to think I'm some pedophile."
