Second Floor CR, Friday Evening

For Friday the thirteenth, Zero had decided to have an impromptu scary movie marathon. She set up an array of snacks, including popcorn, pizza, soda, and candy, and stacked her DVD offerings on the coffee table.

Zero decided to start with that perennial classic, A Bunch of Losers Arguing Over Who Gets To Be Zero. It was her favorite.

"Da would love that. Could probably be persuaded to spring for hotel rooms." Zero sighed. "But they want to see my school."

"Damnit. Oh, well. If my dad *actually* showed up and I wasn't here, he'd throw a fit." Parker shrugged. "And if he doesn't show, I can watch other people have family weirdness and flailing."

"Do we want him to show, or no?" Zero asked.

"We aren't sure?" Parker slid down the back of the couch to sit on the cushions, looking perplexed. "It'd be great if I thought it would go well. And it might. I'm getting good grades. But, there's always the Fandom factor." She sighed. "Better he visit now, while the Ex is off the Island, than any other time, though."

"There is that. I'll not mention Jarod for you," Zero promised. "And, my parents are probably more normal than a lot that'll be showin' up, if you want to try that." She thought about it for a moment, then admitted, "'Course, they might set up a protest outside his hotel room."

"That might actually distract him from my lame 'Professor Lorne is a performance artist, and yes, so is Dean Tick' story. And it's not like he hasn't walked through protestors before." She frowned. "Um, tell them not to piss off his bodyguard, though. Sam liable to break something."

Zero snorted. "Clearly you have not met my parents. My mum could probably break him with both hands tied behind her back."

"True, I remember that documentary. And bodyguards are expensive. Soooo... yeah, good plan to have them avoid each other." Parker made a face. "Oh, this is going to be an interesting weekend, I can already tell."

"Aren't they always? Special events at this school are cursed." Zero looked over at the TV and cheered as the epic battle with the bastard fish raged on.
