Second Floor Common Room - Later Sunday Evening

The Common Room had been hung with bright streamers and different glittery signs. One big banner was across the far wall of the room saying "WE SURIVIVED" in big block letters.

There was several different varieties of food below the banner from Chinese to pizza to sandwiches to chips and dip and vegetables along with a big cake from J, GOB with a blue and yellow gremlin on it.

Music was playing, and an air of general celebration - or was it relief - pervaded the room.

[OOC: After all the parents, guardians, journey guides, and other assorted relatives and friends have left the island. Minor OCD ~~coming up~~ is up]

Pretty much anything StuCo could find on the island. And definitely it's just a frosting gremlin on the cake.

Partying, dancing, letting off of stress ~~not dirty~~, chattering, empathising with your classmates, and anything else one could possibly want to do in a Common Room.

Because the post looked nekkid without it.

And we can't have a nekkid post.

Peter was watching to make sure the party went well and trying not to think too much about the events of the past weekend.

Isabel was sprawled in a somewhat boneless heap on the couch, mentally planning how to intercept the invitation to next year's Parents Weekend.

"Hey!"

"Hey, Isabel. How was your weekend?"

Why not?

Peter smiled over at Isabel. "Think there's anyway we can prevent a Parents' Weekend next year? Offer to take exams the whole weekend instead, maybe?"

"Hi Lavender," she waved. "It's over and I'm still here. I think that actually counts as a success."

"I don't know about the rest of you, but I was just sitting here trying to figure out how to intercept the outgoing invitations," Isabel laughed. "I'd rather have zombies then families."

Nekkidity FTW!

"Lavender," Peter said with a tired smile. "Good evening. How do you do?"

Lavender chuckled. "Yeah? I lucked out, no one came to visit me." There may have been a hint of bitterness in her voice. "Your family give you some trouble?"

"It must be possible. Or perhaps give them fading ink to write the addresses in? So they can't get delivered?" Peter replied. "Zombies, jello dragons, a horde of goblins. I don't think anyone would object."

Lavender grinned. "I'm ok. You seem a little tired."

"I'm sorry," Isabel said. "That's too bad. Will you go see them over break?" She shrugged, "My brother gave me a little bit of a hard time. But I sort of expected it."

She didn't actually have parents for the weekend, but who said that was going to stop her turning up for a party. Here she gets free carrot sticks, like she's going to turn that down.

"I know I wouldn't, and I doubt Parker or Peter would either," she grinned. "How'd things go with your brother?"

"It feels like it's been a long weekend," Peter replied. "My little brother was here and I'd forgotten how...trying he can be when we don't have more important things to do."

Peter shook his head. "I rather forgot just how exasperating Edmund could be when we've nothing more important to take care of."

"Probably." Lavender shrugged. "If my parents think it's safe enough." She gave isabel a small smile. "Yeah, I've heard brothers tend to do that."

"Uh-oh," Isabel said, raising an eyebrow. "What did he do? Tell embarrassing stories about you as a child?"
