Cally stared intently at Mac's ear. "I'm just going to pretend those noises are... ummm, not what they actually are."

"They're happy, joyous noises. Which in no way are accompanied by pain and fatal blood loss." She's just great at making people feel better. Really she is.

Cally was just going to focus on the ear. Yep. Mac's ear. There it is. Right there.

"Your ear is very cute," she said.

Mac tugged on her earlobe a little and turned to face Cally. "I'll have to take your word on that one. Can't really see my own ear to judge."

Cally smiled at Mac. "Well, I hope you consider me very trustworthy, then."

"Oh uh, definitely," Mac said. "Although, honestly I can't see ears being cute, but if you think so, it must be true."

"I might be a little preoccupied with 'anything is better than the TV' right now," Cally admitted. "Am I safe to look again?"

Mac turned back to check the screen, "Uh, probably okay for a few minutes, then he'll stick a knife right through the other guy and into the wall." Realising that was a disgusting detail, she shrugged and addded, "At least you're forewarned."

"You are so not helping," Cally said, sticking her tongue out at Mac.

"Hey, I'm trying, which is something," Mac pointed out. "And at least you're not concentrating on the actual gore on-screen."

"Very true," Cally said. "So thank you for that, at least." She had to smile. "You want a reward?"

"Didn't realise there were prizes up for grabs when I signed on for this job." She cocked her head to one side in question, "So, what you got?"

Cally moved in very gently to give Mac a short kiss. "That," she said, pulling back.

"Go team distraction," Mac said with a grin.

"It's a good team," Cally said. "Though we don't want to have to do this too often."

"Next time we watch movies, we'll pick something cheerful," Mac said. "Less with the yuk and eep and such."

"I like this plan," Cally said. "This is a very good plan." She leaned in a bit to try and give Mac another kiss.

"A little tweaking and I think it could be capable of world domination."

"Oh, who wants to dominate the world, anyways?" Cally said. "There are more fun things to domi-- I totally didn't start that sentence."

Mac pressed her lips together in an attempt not to giggle keeping her eyes fixed downwards. It didn't work that well. "Oh, 'course you didn't."

Cally blushed a bit. "I get a little ahead of myself sometimes."

"Oh, I thought you said you didn't start anything," Mac said giving Cally an innocent grin.

"Say anything about what?" Cally said, trying to look innocent.

Mac chuckled quietly. She so has this secretish thing down. "Nothing, nothing at all."

"So, what're we up to after my trauma is over?" Cally asked.
