Saturday Evening, Third Floor Common Room

"Stupid power," Dawn grumbled, lighting the candle on the table near her, then got up to turn off the television and overhead light. The power (at least in the common room) had been intermittently annoying all day, and it was back in the annoying period.

So she was now reading by candlelight and pretending she was Abe Lincoln.

"Are you a member of the school gun-club?" Buffy asked curiously. She knew how to use a crossbow, but not how to use a gun. Guns rarely worked on vampires and monsters anyway.
