Peter was watching hockey.  Because it was a bit like football.  Only with skates.  And sticks.  And ice.  So not like football at all, but still fun to watch Dallas outplay Chicago.

He had popcorn and may have been muttering at the screen.  Not that he knew the names of either the players or the penalties.

Peter laughed. "I'm the same way about football. And jousting. And err, swordwork. So I can't mock you at all."

"It's serious business," Bridge says with a nod.

"Exactly," Peter replied with an answering nod. "Some people don't recognise that."

"Those people are silly," Bridge decides.

"Of course they are," Peter agreed. "We're obviously the sane ones here." He grinned. "How've you been?"

"A bit anxious for holidays to start," Bridge admits. "I like school. But I like holidays better."

"I couldn't agree more," Peter replied with a snicker. "But please don't tell Willow."

"Like I would," Bridge snorts.

"True, but better safe than sorry and all that!" Peter replied.

"Point taken," Bridge says. "Are you staying here for holidays, then?" he asks curiously.

Peter shrugged. "I don't know. When I went home in the summer, a summons just appeared." He looked down. "I'd like to stay here for Christmas, but I'd like to see my country too."

"Understandably," Bridge nods. "Exam week falls right during Hanukkah this year, so no going home for me. Though... I imagine Willow probably thinks that's *good* timing," he says with a bit of a laugh.

Peter chuckled. "Very true." He looked up. "Are there any Chanukkah traditions or sayings I should know for Willow? Anything I should keep in mind or do for her so she can celebrate her holiday?"

"Well," Bridge says thoughtfully. "You should have a menorah to light. And the food. The food is important." Of course, Bridge is a teenage boy. Food is *always* important.

"This is the fried food thing, right?" Peter asked with a bit of excitement. "The potato pancakes?" He focused on the situation at hand. "What's a menorah?"

"Yes!" Bridge says, bouncing a little. "It's, ah, a kind of candelabrum, with nine candles- one for each night of Hanukkah plus one that's used to light the others."

Peter smiled. "That sounds lovely. I wonder if Willow has one here since she's not going home."

"You should find out," Bridge says thoughtfully. "Because, if not? I'm sure Stuff for Sale would have some. They're supposed to have *all* sorts of holiday stuff right now. You could get one and surprise her."

"That's a brilliant idea, Bridge," Peter replied. "You'd probably have to come with me though and make sure I didn't accidentally buy an advent wreath or some such." His attention was diverted by the game. "Oh, goal Chicago!"
