First Floor Lobby, Sunday night - Post -everything, with pizza

Evie had pizza.

Evie had a big warm sweater and socks and a throw and slippers and a huge Cherry Coke and pizza Jack bought her, after the clinic, and a couch in the lobby.

Evie was pretty happy with life as it stood right then.

"You have to share that, you know," Jack told her as he snagged a piece and settled next to her. "It's the rules."

Evie grinned at him as best she could without opening her mouth, and shook her head, hard, eyes gleaming. "Mrphn."

Parker leaned over Jacks' shoulder to snag some pizza. "You're alive," she whispered in his ear, one arm around him as if on accident.

After getting back to Fandom and walking through town, Jaye arrives at the dorms with a bag over her shoulder and asking, "What the hell, people?"

Jack grinned at her. "You've never seen pizza before?" he asked ingeniously. "Flat stuff with cheese and meat and sauce."

Evie swallowed, and waved to Jaye. "Trolls. Kidnapping! Fights! Pizza?" She held some out to Jaye.

"Hey, Jaye. There were trolls. And it turns out my boots are not magic, just steel-toed." To Zero, this counted as explaining.

"Hey, Jaye," Seely gave Jaye a half-wave. "Troll. Running some sort of whacked out dating service."

Layla had handwavey stitches in her forehead and clothes covered with troll dust and blood that was probably hers and a bit of a frantic look on her face. But then she saw Evie in the lobby, and suddenly, all of that didn't seem so important. "Evie! You're alive!"

"Layla!" Evie bounded to her feet, staggered, then waved excitedly, "We have pizza! And we're safe and it's warm and oh, are you okay? Sit down! You have blood all over you!"

Jack smiled at Layla and lifted a hand in greeting, then pointed at the pizza. "Eat, it'll make you feel better."

Seely staggered into the lobby and carefully sat down on the nearest couch. "Ow."

"Oh, Seely." Evie looked very very concerned. "You look terrible. Do you want something to drink? Or pizza? Or a pillow? Did you get hurt rescuing us?"

"You look like crap," Jack observed, not unsympathetically. "Do you need anything?"

Narrowing her eyes at him, Parker inquired, "Break any more fingers?"

Peter limped into the common room some time after the bells rang. The blow from the cudgel in the bell tower still hurt, but it would be fine after he got some rest.

"Hey, people. We survived another one."

Zero wandered on down to the lobby, where she found Peter. "You! Where have you been?"

Isabel smiled, there was one face accounted for. "Hey! You all in one piece?"

Yawning, Isabel came through the doors, anxiously scanning faces. If she didn't see them here, it was time to hit the clinic.

Jack looked up and was off the couch and across the room in a heartbeat, wrapping her in a tight hug. Only one more to go and he could stop worrying.

True, Chad had spent a good portion of Day Two in his room sleeping off troll wrestling weariness, and had entirely missed out on the big exciting part, but celebratory gathering would not pass him unknown.

"Chad! Hi! My boyfriend defeated the trolls!" Zero cried. Okay, so it wasn't her boyfriend alone, but try getting Zero to admit that.

Alanna came into the room, breathing very carefully. "Anyone seen an annoying talking cat?"

Parker settled onto a couch corner after greeting Jack, and gave a huge sigh of relief as she did a headcount of many of the people there.

In the wee hours of the morning just after sunrise, Kawalsky crept through the lobby and headed upstairs to finally shower and get some sleep.
