Outside of hunting class: 7th Period

Blair was carrying both a sign and a petition today and he was very happy that to have his cast off for this sort of protest day. Marching back and forth before the door he chanted the message on his sign. "Education for everybody! Support the male troll scholarship!"

Every once in a while he would yell out; "Hunting sucks!" Just in case there was a rule about protesting random things in front of hunting class.

Bel moved back. "You don't wanna get near me, Blair, trust me," he said, but it came out more like a growl.

"Why's that?" Blair kept his tone light, but he made sure not to move closer to Bel. "Didn't have time for a shower this morning?"

Bel closed his eyes, willing the demon not to surface again. "Don't," he said.

"Bel?" Blair lowered his voice and reached out a hand. "What's wrong?"

Bel flinched. "Nothing!" he snapped.

"Okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." Blair stopped short of touching Bel. "But obviously something is wrong, man."

"Nothing you can do about it," Bel said, fighting down an instinctive urge to hurt.

"Wanna tell me about it and see?" Blair asked. "You never know."

Bel grit his teeth. "No. You don't want to.... No."

"You're my friend, man. I want to hear about it." Blair nodded and bounced, fairly itching to give Bel a hug.

The demon wanted to hurt. The human was overwhelmed with grief and shame. Bel reeled back. "Just stay away from me," he said shortly.

"Can't do that, man." Blair shook his head and said quietly. "Friends don't stay away."

"It's for your own good," Bel said darkly. "I'm not playing around."

"Neither am I, man." Blair said forcefully. "I'm not a 'take-no-for-an-answer' kind of guy."

Bel shook his head. "I'm fine, okay. I'm fine."

Blair gave Bel a look that made it very obvious he knew that was a lie.

Bel idly wondered how Blair's expression would change if he knew what he'd done last night. "Gonna be late for class," he mumbled.

Blair moved aside enough that Bel could get past him. "I'm not going to give up, you know. It'll probably just be easier to tell me now instead of having me follow you around and pestering you about this."

"Don't," Bel said seriously. "You just...don't want to know." He averted his eyes and hurried into the classroom.
