Outside of hunting class: 7th Period

Blair was carrying both a sign and a petition today and he was very happy that to have his cast off for this sort of protest day. Marching back and forth before the door he chanted the message on his sign. "Education for everybody! Support the male troll scholarship!"

Every once in a while he would yell out; "Hunting sucks!" Just in case there was a rule about protesting random things in front of hunting class.

"Jude!" Blair winced at the sight of the crutches. "Did this happen this weekend?"

"Yeah." Jude mimed swinging something around with one hand. "Jude hammer throw."

"Sorry, man. That sucks." Blair winced. "Anything I can do to help?"

Jude shrugged. "Nah. I'm pretty used to it by now." He shuffled his crutches for a moment. "So, uh, how's things with River?"

"Let me know, man. I'm right next door and all." Blair said and leaned against the wall. "River and I are in couples counseling, trying to work stuff out."

Blair looked at Jude sadly. "I really liked that kiss, man. A lot more than I should have since I have a girlfriend. Me just messing around wasn't fair to either of you. I'm going to try and work things out with her."

Jude looked at his feet, his ears going a definite shade of pink. "I really liked it, too. But, um, yeah. Ya gotta try and work things out. But I was really bummed and you helped so . . . thanks. And I might . . . I might have someone else now. Maybe." Shuffle feet, blush.

"Someone else?" Blair blinked and tried to hide his own blush. "That's...nice, man. Really nice. Who is it?"

More shuffling and blushing. "Ch-Chad . . ."

"Oh." Blair nodded. "Chad seems like a nice guy. Tall, that's always good."

Jude blushed. "Yeah. Tall." And broad. And muscular. And had really nice lips. And hair.

"Uh-huh." Blair nodded and tried not to look at Jude because he was seriously having a naughty sort of blush.

Jude shook his head quickly, trying to get certain memories out of his head. "Um, yeah. I don't know. But hey, those trolls would have totally trashed more than my leg and my board if he hadn't been there."

"Well, yay Chad, then." Blair said with a smile.

"Why are you protesting for them, anyways?" Jude asked, looking at his sign.

"Because the girls don't let the male trolls go to school." Blair shook his head sadly. "Which is probably why they're so violent."

Jude tried really, really hard to think about it that way.

His leg was broken.

"Sorry, bro, can't see it."

"Yeah, I'm kinda getting that vibe from people today." Blair shrugged. "It was worth a shot at least."

"Dude, I can't move my toes and I'm in like a buncha pain," Jude said, as wry as he ever got. "I'm just havin' a bit of trouble bein' pro-troll."

"That's fine, man." Blair said with a smile. "Do you need to go to the clinic or...oh!"

"If you stop by my room sometime I'll give you some of the tea I used to relieve pain when I broke my arm."
