First floor lobby, all day

Sometime either in the middle of the night or very early in the morning, a large, beautiful, undecorated Christmas tree ended up in the first floor lobby of the dorms. No idea how it got there, but it's not the weirdest thing to happen in Fandom. Neither is the fact that there are also boxes and boxes of completely moddable decorations lying out. Ornaments, garland, tinsel, it's all there. Also not weird is the fact that someone set up a little table with apple cider, hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies. And a little CD player with Christmas music CD's beside it.

The fact that someone stuck a big red bow on the alien fish tank? Okay, that's a little odd.

Really, the tree is lonely without decoration and people should really fix that.

[Welcome to the dorms' tree-trimming party! Post is open all day so no one misses out ICly or hopefully OOCly. Just try to state when your character is there if you can, just so no wonky timeline issues happen if someone's not around in the morning but pings someone who is. First floor lobby means teachers can join in, so have at it.
OCD is coming up!]

Sometime in the late afternoon, El came by carrying his guitar case and set up shop near the CD player.

If live music is more your speed, he takes request. And knows a lot of catchy holiday music from the US and Mexico.

"Wow! That looks great!"

Pippi has just two ornaments shaped like a Pickle and a bird's nest (http://www.xmasdays.com/orns.html) in either (http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/488640.html?cm_id=2610.060) hand (http://www.catholicsupply.com/christmas/_borders/12463.jpg). And she's looking for just the perfect spot to nestle them into.

"Good morning El Proffesor!"

Mac stopped as she passed through the lobby. As you would when you come down one morning and there's suddenly a huge tree in the hall where there wasn't one before.

Plus? Fairy lights to put up. She likes the idea of the fairy lights.

"Hmmm, if you can make the lights do that... Maybe instead of moving the lights, you could... Make the tree turn? And then wind the lights around it? So you can be sure to get the back evenly. A spinning tree would look swell! Like those little wooden mobiles they got in Germany."

"I believe it is rather closer to afternoon," El responded. "How are you feeling today? Have a request?"

Pippi describes a small wooden tower that spins and has propellers on the top (http://www.christkindl-markt.com/level-angel-shepherd-nativity-pyramid-p-603.html?osCsid=411ac77b7e2aa2dacf441b248588b4f3). The base has candle holders on it, when the candles are lit, the heat rises and turns the propellers which in turn moves the tower and the little figures on it go round like a little parade.

"I think you're right!" Pippi said looking out the door. "No, I just like music."

El shrugged. "Then... one of my personal favorites," he said.

He began to play a Spanish version of "O Holy Night".

Peter was thrilled when he saw the tree in the lobby coming back in from his morning run. He dashed upstairs to change and came back to help with the decorations.

He rummaged through the boxes, looking for good ones.

Pippi sings along in Swedish.

Nolla-helgedomnatt!
Nolla-nattpräst, natten, då Kristus var född;
Nolla-natt, helig natt för nolla, nolla-nattpräst!
Nolla-natt, helig natt för nolla, nolla-nattpräst!

Pippi arrived in the late morning/early afternoon after taking a trip into town.

Ohhh! Maybe she'd get to hide the pickel (http://german.about.com/library/blgermyth11.htm)!

What with his foot in plaster, Shawn isn't exactly in the right state to be tree decorating himself. He is however quite happy to sit on the couch, eat cookies and watch everyone else get tangled up in the tinsel.

Cally arrived shortly after her traumatic traumatic visit with Mr. Bristow.

"Hi," she said.
