Rory got to the common room nice and early right after Lit, and started blowing up balloons and hanging streamers.

By the time everyone would be out of class, she had the cake and snacks and drinks out as well, and there was a table to the side for presents.

Happy birthday, Bridge.

Parker grinned at him and pointed to the mountain of presents. "You made out like a day-trader on a hot tip, guy. I think between this and Hannukah/Christmas, you won't be bored until Valentine's Day."

"Hey, I can't help being born in December," Bridge laughs.

"You guys steal all the attention," Parker pouted jokingly. "By the time my birthday gets here in January, no one wants to hear the word 'party.' Unfair!" She wandered over and leaned against him for a second, one arm going around him. "It's your birthday. I can do this."

"Of course you can. It's practically required," Bridge says with an impish grin.

Parker wrinkled her nose at him. "I'm not spanking you. There's Rules about that."

"Yeeeeeah no," Bridge says. "I'm glad to pass on that, thanks."

Parker snickered. "Happy seventeenth, though. My dad got me a car on my 17th." She snapped her mouth shut, then said, "Not that I thought of doing that for you. Nope."

"I don't think I'd be able to drive one," Bridge points out. "After all, legally, in this time, I'm only two."

Parker blinked. "And now I'm wondering why I didn't get you a little stuffed space cop to cuddle in bed. Can we send one to mini-you? I'll bet he's really cute."

Bridge laughs. "I don't think so," he says. "After all, if we did I'd already know about it because it would have already happened."

Parker's already messed with the space-time continuum once this week; maybe she'll let this one go. "Right. So I better get you a teeny space cop for Solstice, then." She grinned at him. "I'm saving the space cop stripper for your 18th birthday."

"..." Bridge just stares at her.

"What? You want more than one?"

Maybe she's teasing... maybe she isn't.

"...No."

"Because I could get one female space cop stripper and one male, but if you've got no preference, it'll be whoever's free that night."

"No strippers!" Bridge says frantically, hiding his head in his hands. "No, no, no!"

"Awwwwww. But why? There won't be any touching. That's illegal." Parker's pouting now. "Mostly."

"I'm... that's not..." Bridge flails. "I have a girlfriend!"

Parker's Not Getting It. Possibly deliberately. "So, you can't think about hypothetical strippers for a year from now? Come on. You're a guy! Sheesh."

Bridge? Turning about as red as Conner's spandex, here. And making squeaky noises.

Parker finally relented. "Okaaaaaaay. No strippers unless pre-approved from Rory." She grinned. "And if she asks, I'll lend her an outfit."

Bridge lets out a breath. "Mean."

"But helpful." Parker's smile widened. "Happy Birthday, Bridge."

"Thanks, dude," Bridge says with a smile.
