Second Floor Common Room [after classes]

Rory got to the common room nice and early right after Lit, and started blowing up balloons and hanging streamers.

By the time everyone would be out of class, she had the cake and snacks and drinks out as well, and there was a table to the side for presents.

Happy birthday, Bridge.

"Exactly," Cally said. "We'd be a regular, ummm... two girl killing team." She frowned. "I was hoping to make some sort of sassy reference, but I couldn't think of anything."

"Ummm...." Setsuna looked thoughtful for a moment, trying to pull up anything retained from the lexicon of manga and anime that Paru always babbled about. She tried not to pay attention to Paru, though. "Uhhh...."

"Sorry. I got nothin'. Two Girl Killing Team could work. TCKT...yo."

Setsuna mentally facepalmed. God. She'd just said 'yo.'

"We'd need matching outfits," Cally said. "Definitely."

"Oh, God," Setsuna laughed, blushing fervently ~~and wishing the bit about Konoka getting matching outfits was in the books and not the anime~~. "What do you suppose they'd look like?"

"I'm thinking... skin-tight leather," Cally said. "Black. With... orange highlights."

"Uhhh...uhmm....wow." Setsuna blinked, a lot, mouth working but failing to form many words.

If Cally and Mana ever got together, Setsuna'd be in trouble.

"...Ummm...why orange?"

"I like orange," Cally said. "It's one of the few colors I'll wear by choice."

Setsuna nodded. "I can do orange. Now, this skin tight leather thing..."

"It'd be totally hot," Cally said. "Don't you think?"

The blossom of red in her cheeks answered that question for her. "Well, I, uhh, I imagine what you have in mind is the classic black leather, ummm....uh, bodysuit, but, you see, there...therein lies the problem." She chuckled nervously, fingers edging at the hem of her skirt as she pulled it out a bit. "I always work in a skirt." ~~It's a fanservice thing.~~

"Oh," Cally said. "For a good cause, I'm sure we can get you out of a skirt."

The blush stayed, but a small grin had joined it. "Or you into one. Tight leather and skirts?"

"The two aren't mutually exclusive," Cally said. "I think that'd work."

Setsuna, still red as a strawberry, beamed and clapped a little. "Yay."

Cally had to think Setsuna was absolutely adorable when she blushed. "Okay, you're really shy, aren't ya?"

Which made Setsuna 'eep' slightly and bury her burning face in her hands. "Nooooo...."

"Okay, so, the blushing is... what, then?" Cally had to ask.

Not going away, that's what. There was a whimper, slight squirming.

"Acid reflux?"

Cally bit her lip. "Do you have that problem a lot?"

"Ummm...no?"

"Huh," Cally said. "Weird."

Setsuna nodded firmly, taking a deep breath and getting a little control over her invasive bashfulness. "Yes. Weird, indeed. A very bizarre phenomina that should not be discussed due to its very strange and boggling nature."

Cally smiled. "I can live with that," she said. "So, back to discussing our super hot killing outfits?"

Setsuna shrugged, focusing on the technical aspects of the outfits to distract from the...other...ascpects.... "Sure. I mean, what else is there? Black leather, with skirt, orange accents...We'd probably need boots."

"Thigh highs might be a bit much, I think," Cally said. "We'd end up looking like hookers."
