The roof, Friday, early evening
Nadia lay flat on her back, staring up at the clouded sky, getting thoroughly damp in the half-hearted rain.
It wasn't warm, but it certainly wasn't cold, and the news she'd gotten about Wilson having woken up had her in a decent mood.
She was still troubled by the fact that the dream she'd gotten about what had happened had come far to late to do, she suspected, even a little bit of good, but she supposed that didn't matter, now.
So she lay on the roof, eyes half-closed to keep the rain from them, and let her mind wander.
