Second Floor Common Room, Early Saturday Morning

Sam hadn't gone back to her room after leaving Parker's party. She'd taken a very long run around the island, and then swam some laps in the pool in an attempt to exhaust herself into sleep, but it didn't work. She couldn't focus enough to work on her swoop bike or the wormhole equations on her wall, and she didn't have any homework to do.

Which was how she'd ended up in the common room making many pots of coffee and setting out an assortment of pastries from J, GoB (along with a little sign that said No, I didn't make them! and a reference phone number for the bakery in case anyone wanted to call and check). She wasn't exactly feeling social, but that could always change. She started nibbling on a bear claw and flipped through channels on the television.

"Oh? What kind?" She asked.

"You mean, like, what are my powers?" Cassied asked.

"Sure, unless you don't want to tell me, in case you should forget I asked."

"Oh, no, I'm kind of required to," Cassie said. "I'm a size-changer. I can shrink down and grow huge, depending on what'd be more useful."

"I wish I could do that," Sam said after a minute, "and wait, what do you mean you're required to?"

Cassie sighed and pulled out her wallet, and then extracted a card not unlike a driver's license (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:SHRCard.png), but detailing her height, weight, name, code name (Stature), and powers.

"Government orders." She sounded a little bitter.

Sam studied the card, then handed it back. "Huh. Yeah, governments can be stupid that way."

Cassie put the card and wallet away with a shrug, before taking a big bite of the fritter. "Let's just say I'm glad to be here rather than back home."

"And we're glad to have you. Where're you from?"

"New York City," Cassie said. "Lived there all my life, 'til now."

"Wow, this is going to be a big change for you," Sam said. "You settling in okay?"

"Well, yes and no," Cassie said. "The little town thing, that's big. The weirdness, well, I grew up with that. So I'm settling in okay, yeah, thanks."

"Good, especially about being used to weirdness, since that's kind of our specialty. Who's your big sibling?"

"Sam Winchester. He seems really nice."

Sam smiled. "He is. Definitely a good guy, though he's quieter than his brother."

"Don't think I've met his brother," Cassie said. "Troublemaker?"

"Dean?" She shook her head and adjusted the pillow behind her back. "Naah, just more talkative. Looks like Alec, who likes to run around with no shirt on?"

"Okay, I've met Alec," Cassie said with a smile. "There's... are they, like, clones or something?"

If Cassie was paying attention, she might have noticed Sam tense slightly at the word clone. "No, not as far as I know. That just happens here sometimes. Cameron Mitchell and John Crichton are the same way, though they're usually both clothed."

"Yeah, that can happen," Cassie said. "I have friends who are... soul brothers or something. They're practically identical, but... it's weird."

"Soul brothers?" She asked. "How does that work?"

"Ummm, they're the souls of Scarlet Witch's kids, who got destroyed but then released and then they became Tommy and Billy," Cassie said. "At least that's what they think."
