Third Floor Common Room - Saturday, Late morning/early afternoon

After taking a shower, Tori made her way to the common room. She turned on the television, finding some cartoons to watch.

It was a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't really anything good on the television, so cartoons it was.

Tori made a bowl of popcorn and sat down on the couch, trying to pass the time before the party.

"It was." Walter nodded. "And I'm still catching up, but I've been here a year, so most of it isn't as odd as it was at this time last year."

He filed away Wyatt's name and nodded again. "I'm quite fond of your aunt, if you or your brother need anything, I live in room 303."

"Thanks, I appreciate that," Chris said. "Did you know my mom at all?"

"Piper?" Walter laughed. "Yes, she threatened to blow me up when I first started dating my girlfriend."

"Really?" Chris asked, his eyes wide with surprise. "Why?"

"Because Nadia's a wonderful girl who doesn't deserve to be hurt, and I'm gay," Walter said simply.

Chris kind of stared at him. "You... um... you're gay... and you have a girlfriend?"

"I told you she was wonderful."

"Oh. Don't think I've met her yet."

"You will. She's hard to miss. Pretty Argentine girl with a great smile." He thought about it before adding, "And a tendency to get into trouble, which is why we get on so well together."

Chris chuckled. "Sounds like you guys have a lot of fun together."

"We do," Walter said. "And what are your thoughts on pranking?"

"I'm not sure I have any thoughts on pranking other than I don't like it when it happens to me," Chris said.

"Then you should do unto others before they do unto you," Walter said, nodding seriously. "It's the way of the jungle. Or at least the boarding school."

Chris laughed. "Any suggestions on targets or cohorts?"

"Ah...." Walter grinned. "I would like to think that I may have a bit of knowledge on those matters. Although typically I targ- favor the teachers and staff."

"Well, I could probably be persuaded to lend a hand in such matters," Chris smirked.
